62 Binocular optical device JP2002108300 2002-04-10 JP2003195185A 2003-07-09 SADANAO MASAO; KIN TAKESHI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a binocular optical device with which the line of sight passing through a magnifier is turned downward in a state where an operator's neck is not inclined forward so much and his (her) eyeballs are not turned downward so much. SOLUTION: A magnifier unit 6 is attached to each of the spectacle lenses 44 of spectacles 5. The unit 6 is constituted of an ocular lens 51, a prism 52 and an objective lens 53. The optical axis of the ocular lens 51 is bent twice in the prism 52, thereby, it is deflected downward without inverting an image and is made coaxial with the optical axis of the objective lens 53. 66 Other-angle visual field obtaining spectacles utilizing prisms JP1424087 1987-01-26 JPS63182625A 1988-07-27 OTA ISAO
PURPOSE:To see a visual field which can not be viewed only by moving the eyes without changing the attitude nor disturbing the visual field by incorporating a peak united with a hinge through the hinge, and adjusting a prism fixed to the peak to an optional angle for use. CONSTITUTION:The prism 1 is fixed to the peak 3 united with a hinge at the upper part of a spectacles frame 4 through the hinge 2, and the angle of the eyes is adjusted through the hinge to an optional eye angle and fixed temporarily for use, or adjusted optionally to between the peak of a helmet and the prism 1 through the hinge 2 and fixed temporarily for use. The visual field can be confirmed through the refracting operation of the prism. Consequently, a visual field which is hardly seen is visible without varying the normal view attitude nor disturbing the visual field.

PURPOSE:To obtain >=50% density by polishing the front surface of a dimming lens by fitting a prism angle to an optical axis after cementing a white lens to the reverse surface of the dimming lens, and polishing the reverse surface of the white lens according to curve calculation matching with a necessary angle and said prism. CONSTITUTION:The dimming lens 2 that a user requires is selected. The surface of the white lens 3 is polished according to the reverse surface curve of the lens 2. The white lens 3 is adhered to the reverse surface of the dimming lens 2 with an adhesive. The front surface of the lens after the adhesion is cut and polished obtaining a prism while the optical axis is deviated to 2mm. thickness at the upper part and to 0 at the lower part. The reverse surface is curved matched with a necessary angle. Then, the lens is cut while the optical axis is deviated at the same prism for canceling the prism (thickness difference) given during the cutting of the front surface. In this case, the upper and lower thickness 1' are equalized to each other. The cutting is performed at maximum in consideration of the longitudinal width of a frame.

78 MYOLENS, A VARIFOCAL OPHTHALMIC SPECTACLE LENS FOR THE CONTROL AND PREVENTION OF MYOPIA PCT/GB2013000006 2013-01-10 WO2014060713A3 2014-06-05 GRIFFITHS GERAINT
The Myolens is a prism controlled varifocal or single vision spectacle lens, which when glazed as spectacles looks like an ordinary pair of single vision lenses. The lenses prescribed in pairs allow differential control of the direction of prism at distance and near. They are designed to relieve the forces of the intra and extra ocular muscles on the globe, caused by the effort of maintaining binocular vision in eyes with a fixation disparity between them. It is proposed that these forces especially in the predisposed (young or nutritionally deprived) can cause myopia or symptoms associated with muscle imbalance. It is proposed that the Myolens can help to prevent myopia, relive associated symptoms and prevent manifest myopia getting worse.

Moving pictures, as exemplified by ordinary television programming, are viewed stereoscopically when viewed using a special eyewear apparatus which includes a prismatic lens construction. The three dimensional effect is produced by the design of the eyewear to redirect the visual tracking of one or both eyes away from the normal convergent angle used when viewing display screens to a wider angle, which is normally associated with viewing objects at a greater distance that the display screen. This causes the eyes to perceive two distinct views of the single picture on the screen, which are interpreted by the viewer's brain, not as two laterally displaced pictures, but as a single picture with elements of depth, or a 3D picture.
