1 High sensitivity dual function meter circuit US107985 1979-12-28 US4241448A 1980-12-23 Peter A. Kwitkowski
In a radio receiver or transmitter circuit, a high sensitivity dual function meter circuit for metering the DC and AC operation of a circuit stage is constructed by connecting a detector diode to a point in the source or emitter circuit of the metered stage rather than to ground. High sensitivity is obtained by passing both the DC and AC current through the detector diode so that a smaller AC voltage swing can be detected.
2 Low zero-offset transducer apparatus US3602832D 1969-06-12 US3602832A 1971-08-31 RAYMOND WILLIAM R
Three-wire transducer apparatus for producing a low zero-offset output voltage while permitting high full scale operation. In a preferred circuit embodiment, a Zener diode is connected to the transducer''s amplifier output terminal, within an included feedback loop. The resistance of a variable resistor referred to a common reference potential is varied in accordance with the magnitude of the transducer output signal, while biasing the Zener diode to maintain breakdown.

4 Arrangement for detecting measuring data in motor vehicles US762109 1985-08-02 US4730264A 1988-03-08 Rolf Kohler
An arrangement for detecting data in motor vehicles is disclosed especially in combination with the open or closed loop control of internal combustion engines. The arrangement includes at least one potentiometer as a data detector which permits, in at least one boundary region of the potentiometer band, the boundary values to be made to follow the measured value. Thus, a self-adjusting measuring arrangement is obtained which largely eliminates the need for manual fine adjustment. A flowchart discloses a computer-controlled realization of the invention.

10 Voltage measuring apparatus US66262 1979-08-13 US4274050A 1981-06-16 Thomas F. Martin
A voltage dividing and reference circuit for creating a pseudoground from a unipolar power supply such that when used in combination with a digital voltmeter circuit a bipolar input signal can be measured for both polarities with respect to ground.
11 Solid state scale expanding circuit for electrical indicator devices US586507 1975-06-12 US4011504A 1977-03-08 Lawrence V. DePillo
A scale modifying circuit for providing either expanded or compressed scale readings on a conventional electrical indicating instrument. The device includes a pair of input terminals adapted to be connected to a source of voltage to be monitored or measured, a voltage responsive network connected with one of said input terminals for supplying output voltage to output terminals of the device, and amplifier means driven from the input terminals and having an output connected to supply a driving voltage to at least one of the output terminals. Expanded scales (or compressed scales) can be provided at the lower, middle, or high end of a particular range of voltages being monitored, or at intermediate points. This results in higher resolution over the expanded scale portion, together with improved accuracy. An illustrated embodiment of the invention embraces a voltage-limiting diode, to effect a cut-off of an ascending applied voltage. Some embodiments involve cascaded and summing amplifiers, negative feedback circuits, and multi-coil instrument movements where the coils are involved with the feedback.
