The device comprises at least one unit having a metering chamber (38) in which a piston (26) follows a reciprocating motion between a filling position and a discharge position. The metering chamber is at least partially defined in a cylinder (24) in which the piston moves, which cylinder is arranged in a vessel (10) that itself follows a reciprocating motion between an open position in which a feed port (36) of the cylinder is opened and a closed position in which the feed port is sealed. The piston is connected to a controlled reciprocating motion mechanism.

93 | HANDHELD AND/OR MOUNTABLE FLUID-EJECTION DEVICE HAVING REMOVABLE TIP WITH CAP | EP08745875.8 | 2008-04-15 | EP2139694A1 | 2010-01-06 | KENT, Blair, M.; GIRI, Manish; SEU, Preston |
A fluid-ejection device includes a handheld and/or mountable enclosure, a removable tip, a cap, a pneumatic fitting, and a controller. The removable tip has a fluid-ejection mechanism located at an end thereof. The cap is disposed on the end of the removable tip such that just the fluid-ejection mechanism is exposed through the cap. The pneumatic fitting extends from the enclosure and is receptive to placement of the removable tip thereon. The controller is situated within the enclosure to cause the removable tip to eject fluid.

The present invention provides an assembly for introducing a dose of a mixing substance into a container, said assembly comprising a dosing part (3) and a supply part (2), which dosing part is arranged for receiving the dose and which supply part comprises an outlet (14) for introducing the dose into the container. The dosing part and the supply part are configured to cooperate with one another, such that a pressure chamber having a changeable volume is formed adjacent to the outlet when the supply part and the dosing part are joined together, which pressure chamber functions to enable a pumping action for pumping the dose into and out of the container. The invention further provides a method for inserting such a dose into a container.

97 | FLUID DISPENSING SYSTEM | EP96914308.0 | 1996-05-17 | EP0825962A2 | 1998-03-04 | Little, David John |
A fluid dispensing system comprising a tank (10) for the fluid, and means for extracting a quantity of fluid from the tank (10) and for directing the extracted fluid to one or more selected receptacles. The means comprises a fluid collecting device (40, 24, 36) including a vessel (40) having a restricted entry aperture (48), the vessel (40) being for rotary passage through the tank (10). An outlet pipe (36) is positioned exteriorly of the tank (10) whereby, in use with fluid in the tank (10), during a rotary cycle of the vessel (40) air exhausts from the vessel (40) through the outlet pipe (36) as fluid ingresses into the vessel (40) through the aperture (48) during a filling operation, and air flows into the vessel (40) through the aperture (48) as fluid is dispensed through the outlet pipe (36) in a dispensing operation.

A measuring vessel for measuring finely-ground packable material, such as ground brewing coffee, cocoa, flour and so on, comprising a measuring tube (1) which is open at both ends, wherein the bottom end of the tube includes a constriction (3) with an opening which is defined by an edge (4) which slopes to the horizontal plane. The measuring vessel is inserted vertically into the finely-ground material and the material enters the vessel from beneath, through the bottom opening. When the vessel is lifted, the material collected in the vessel will remain therein by virtue of frictional bounds in the material, until the vessel is turned upside down, whereupon the material will run out through the top opening.
