PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispose an unused gas generator by itself by radiating firing energy beams to an igniter in the unused gas generator for firing it and discharging gas for air bag inflation. SOLUTION: An igniter P in a gas generator X is fixed and positioned so as to face an arm 13 tip of a radiation rotor 12 inside a processing chamber 10. Then, an image of the gas generator X is photographed and detected by means of an image processing camera 16, and its image data are outputted to a central control unit 5. Subsequently, a deflection between a radiation head 15 and the igniter P in the gas generator X is computed so as be outputted to a robot controller 25. According to a command from the central control unit 5, a YAG laser beam R is emitted from a YAG laser oscillator 17 so as to intensively radiate the igniter P. The igniter P is fired by the YAG laser beam R energy, and gas for inflating an air bag is discharged downward inside the processing chamber 10 from a gas discharge hole in a housing 31. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently treat a chemical agent filled within a shell by limited payload, in an object to be blasted in which only the chemical agent is filled within the shell and an object to be blasted with weak blasting force due to deterioration of a bursting charge. SOLUTION: In this blasting method, in the object 100 to be blasted including a bombshell 101 and a chemical agent 102 filled within the bombshell 101, the bombshell 101 is cut in a predetermined cut position by detonation of an explosive 6 to expose the chemical agent 102, and the chemical agent 102 is decomposed by using the detonation. The blasting method includes a process of arranging the explosive 6 on the outer side of the bombshell 101 and detonating the explosive 6 so that a difference is generated between detonation pressures applied from the outer side to one side and the other side of the bombshell 101 sandwiching the cut position and the bombshell is cut by shearing force caused by the detonation pressure difference.
