161 Device for locating artillery and sniper positions US546809 1995-10-23 US5703321A 1997-12-30 Johannes Feierlein; Ulrich Rieger
A device for locating artillery and sniper fire with a sensor and acoustically triggered marking means. An igniter is provided with the acoustic sensor and is adjustable in terms of frequency and/or pulse pattern. A remover preventer is provided and the components are provided in a shell-proof housing whereby removal triggers the marking means.
162 Airborne birdstrike prevention device US291737 1988-12-29 US4964331A 1990-10-23 Eyal Halevy; Michael Amir
A mobile, radio-controlled (RC) airplane flies around an airport in a random pattern, as controlled by an operator with a range greater than needed to scare away birds from runways. The RC airplane includes a receiver to control the launching of a special purpose cracker cartridge having a capsule which burns with a faint smoke trail for a predetermined period of time, after which the projected capsule explodes with a brilliant flash, loud noise, and a small cloud of smoke. By this technique, birds are actually chased out of the path of a runway at an airport. Further, this device can be used to scare birds from agricultural areas, as well as in military training exercises to simulate return fire from attacking aircraft or for use as scare shells during military or paramilitary field training. The cannon firing mechanism which launches the exploding capsule is controlled by a manually operated transmitter from the ground.
163 Smoke emitting game ball US676721 1984-11-30 US4614340A 1986-09-30 Fumio Hosoya
According to the invention, a smoke emission device such as a golf ball or a baseball game ball which emits attactive smoke while flying is provided for entertainment display. The smoke emission device includes a central core of a detonator material, a layer of a smoke emitting material and an outer shell having apertures for allowing the smoke to pass therethrough. A wire net between 100 and 10 mesh is interposed between the outer shell and the layer of the smoke emitting material to cover at least the apertures to thereby prevent hot molten mass of the combustion product from spilling out of the apertures.
164 Pyrotechnic seeding pellet US551433 1975-02-19 US3976008A 1976-08-24 Samuel Altschuler; Frank T. Traylor; Richard W. Ziemer; Charles A. Knight
A small cylindrical pyrotechnic pellet having an igniter, a time delay, andn output charge of easily ionized material for placing a predetermined number of ions and free electrons at a predetermined position in the upper atmosphere or space.
165 Method of making practical joke smoke-emitting articles US3646845D 1969-07-17 US3646845A 1972-03-07 SEMEL BERNARD J
A practical joke smoke ball item of the pyrotechnic-type having an impact and pressure-resistant casing containing a smokeproducing charge and open aperture means which initially accommodate at least one ignition fuse, said aperture means subsequently serving as a smoke emission port or chimney of the smoke ball during combustion of said charge.
166 Explosive table decoration US3580173D 1969-03-26 US3580173A 1971-05-25 MACHET ADRIEN
In an explosive table decoration covered with decorative cover which does not enable it to be seen at first glance what it actually is, and containing objects to be distributed and an explosive charge to blow out the decorative cover and the objects in question, a particular method of connection of the actual explosive device and the aforesaid decorative cover.
