A collapsible support includes extendable and retractable arms and legs for generating a respective uncollapsed and collapsed state. In the uncollapsed state, the support can be placed on most types of surfaces in an upright position to support a golf club or other items by leaning the item against arms or hanging the item from the arm. In the collapsed state, the arms and legs are substantially parallel and adjacent the support's body and thus easily transported or stored. The support also includes an arm attachment assembly attached to the body and a leg attachment assembly attached to the body, both operable to extend and retract respective arms and legs. Also included is a biasing member to bias the arms and legs in a retracted position, an actuating member to extend the arms and legs, and a locking mechanism to lock the arms and legs in the extended position. |

A locking system for a loaded handgun that prevents the handgun from being removed from a housing until a combination lock is unlocked. The housing is constructed of a material such as steel or a high impact resistance polymer, capable of preventing penetration of a slug fired by the handgun. The combination lock is either an illuminated keypad or a bio-metric sensor. In one embodiment, the combination lock actuates a locking member that prevents the handgun from being removed and extends behind the trigger, so that the handgun cannot be fired. In another embodiment, the combination lock secures a locking member in a position that prevents a holster containing the handgun from being pivoted outside an internal cavity within the housing. While the handgun and holster are locked inside the internal cavity, the handgun cannot be withdrawn from the holster. When the proper combination is entered, the locking member releases the holster, and a spring element pivots the holster free of the internal cavity. Mounting hardware and any ammunition that is stored within the housing can only be accessed when the combination lock is unlocked and the handgun is removed. |

The present invention relates to an storage adapter used for engaging and supporting the stock/frame assembly of both the Contendernull or Encorenull brands of Thompson/Center Arms, Inc.null firearms. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the stock/frame assembly is stored in a vertical position above the floor of the gun cabinet/safe through the use of two individual components: (i) a novel storage adapter and (ii) a storage receiver which was previously-disclosed in U.S. patent application Ser. No. 09/705,081. The storage adapter component is comprised of a first end and a second end. The storage adapter engages, supports, and secures the stock/frame assembly by making use of the hinge pin of the firearm and a securing means (preferably a securing strap) to secure the stock/frame assembly to the second end of the storage adapter. The storage adapter, by use of a hanging means (preferably a hanging pin) in its first end, is then placed into (i.e., hung-on) the previously-disclosed, wall-mountable storage receiver component. By storing the stock/frame assembly in such a secured vertical position above the floor of the gun cabinet/safe it is far less likely that the stored assembly will be jarred (i.e., potentially damaging or marring the various internal and external mechanical components and/or the finish/petina of the stock materials) or otherwise damaged by, e.g., a heavy object falling on said assembly. |

A combination gun rest, pivoting hunting stool, and wading stick device particularly for use by duck hunting enthusiasts is disclosed. This multi-function apparatus includes a ground-engaging gun rest which independently supports a shot gun or rifle in a generally upright position. A duck hunter's stool including a cross-shaped base support with a ground-engaging member and a detachable seat member provide the hunter with a 360.degree. field of view from a seated position. The seat member is provided with suitable hardware to permit it to be stored on the tubular support member of the stool. The gun support is inserted within the tubular support member of the stool and locked in position such that the entire assembly functions as a wading stick to assist the hunter in maintaining balance when walking through a wetland or shallow water environment. The present device is lightweight and compact for convenient transport and storage. |
