A door for the oven of a cooking range includes an inner panel that closes the oven and an outer panel spaced from the inner panel. The inner and outer panels are connected adjacent their upper edges by an upper panel. The inner panel includes a first window in the form of a wide-angle lens. The upper panel includes a second window. Light-transmissive devices including a prism and a mirror are disposed between the inner and outer panels so as to direct light received through the lens upwardly and outwardly through the second window. The interior of the oven is illuminated by low-voltage halogen lights carried by the inner panel. The door is insulated by disposing a microporous metal oxide thermal insulation material against the oven side of the inner panel. The insulation is held in place by a plate. The door includes an oven-contacting gasket that extends beyond the boundaries of the plate to provide a thermal barrier when the door off the oven is closed.
28 Electric heat-convection stove with transparent housing US673911 1991-03-25 US5160829A 1992-11-03 Kwei T. Chang
An electric heat-convection stove, comprising an electric heat-convection control unit having four alloy posts respectively connected thereto at the four corners thereof for mounting three glass side boards, a front panel and a base. The three glass side boards, the front panel and the base are interchangeable so that various alternations can be achieved. A rack is fastened inside the stove for holding foods. Two pawl means and two spring means are respectively connected between the rack and the front panel so that the front panel can be rotated to an open the stove or automatically pulled back to close the stove. A grease collector can be drawn out for cleaning and then pushed back into place.
29 Wood burning stove US946708 1978-09-28 US4248203A 1981-02-03 Allan C. Willson
A wood burning stove is formed with double front and rear side walls of heat conductive metal interconnected by heat conductive spacer fins and providing air passageways by which room air is heated by conduction from the walls which are heated by the burning of wood deposited on a firebox grate made up of spaced bricks supported by metal holders secured in heat conducting relation to said inner side walls. The rear side air passageway is divided into central and outer vertical sections the central one of which is closed at the bottom end and communicates with the atmosphere through an opening in the outer wall intermediate its vertical ends and with the stove interior above the firebox and below the grate through openings in the inner wall intermediate its vertical ends and adjacent its bottom end, respectively. A vertical baffle between these inner and outer walls separates said intermediate openings from each other, and a thermostatically controlled damper associated with the opening in the outer wall controls the amount of room air delivered either under the firebox grate or above it. The front side air passageway is divided into upper and lower sections separated by a viewing box closed at its outer end by a glass window and removably closed at its inner end by a pair of hinged doors.
