1. Reusable medical protective clothing for pets and farm animals after surgeries and with skin diseases. 2.1. According to the prior art, the use of space collars made of hard plastic, a muzzle or other makeshifts is provided for after surgeries of pets and farm animals and in the case of skin diseases. A space collar/muzzle does not allow the animals to clean themselves, food intake is severely limited/impossible, noise is perceived at louder levels, and the changed appearance of the animal results in fights in many multi-animal households. In all instances, the sick animal is additionally unsettled and subjected to unnecessary stress, which results in the production of endogenous cortisol and in delayed healing. 2.2. The protective clothing (1) comprises at least one single- or multi-layer outer textile (3), which is non-detachably or detachably connected to a single- or multi-layer inner textile (4) by way of suitable fastening materials and comprises at least one belly strap (8) and a chest strap (9). The inner textile (4) contains at least one medicinally acting agent (2). A further safety strap (12) may be attached between the chest strap (9) and belly strap (8). All straps can be closed using suitable closure systems (81, 91, 121) such that they can be adjusted in the sizes thereof, and the ends of the belly strap (8) and chest strap (9) can be secured by securing loops (82, 92). An elastic band (10) is attached on both sides at the rear end of the protective clothing (1). The base of the tail (6) and neck regions (7) are exposed. Optional insert pads may be fastened to the inside (Ia) of the outer (3) and/or inner textile (4) using suitable fastening means (pushbuttons, Velcro tapes, textile adhesive/tape). 2.3. The protective clothing corresponds to the respective special anatomic features and needs of the animal, reliable fit is assured, and a special strap system prevents it from sliding or slipping off. Manipulations of the wound/bandage are prevented by the mechanically stable, water-repellent, breathable outer coating. The medicinally acting coating on the inside/insertion pad promotes wound healing. It is durable and washable and can be used indefinitely without losing the primary medicinal properties thereof.
108 Rehabilitation and/or training device for equines, particularly for horses EP10170892.3 2010-07-27 EP2289312A1 2011-03-02 Casino, Alessandra; Simeone, Emanuele

The cushion includes a tail recess (18) that is arranged facing a joining portion (23) of the tail (22) of the equine. The device (10) also comprises a plurality of elastic connection elements (16) each having an end portion connected to the elastic cushion (14) and an opposite end portion connected to support elements that can be coupled with the equine at a certain distance from the cushion. The cushion (14) and the elastic connection elements (16) overall form an elastic system suitable for taking up a configuration in which the connection elements (16) and the cushion (14) are elastically deformed to exert an elastic reaction force suitable for causing at least a flexing of the lumbosacral joint of the equine.

110 PET PROTECTIVE COLLAR EP08828405.4 2008-08-29 EP2182796A1 2010-05-12 Markfield, Linda
A custom fittable collar for an animal, useful to prevent the animal from contacting injured areas on the body, thus promoting healing of wounds. The collar comprises opposing sheets of flexible material with a resilient material held between them. The resulting collar is rigid enough to resist deformation thus preventing licking or biting of a wound by the animal, but soft enough that the collar is both comfortable to wear, and less likely to catch on other objects, thus improving the safety and wearability of the collar. The collar further comprises a closure assembly adapted for easy placement or removal of the collar. The collar further comprises stitching that creates fold lines to allow the collar to be conveniently folded.
