23 METHODS, DEVICES, SYSTEMS, ASSEMBLIES, AND KITS FOR TISSUE RETRACTION IN AN ORAL CAVITY EP08833489.1 2008-09-26 EP2197337A2 2010-06-23 HINES, Craig; PONTYNEN, Curtis
Provided herein is a retraction device for retracting soft tissue from the dental surfaces in the oral cavity of a patient. The retraction device is comprised of a topology conformable structure, where the topology conformable structure is adaptable to be delivered to the oral cavity in a constrained shape. The device can then undergo a conformation change in the oral cavity, where the device transforms into its unconstrained shape. The unconstrained shape of the device creates a useable working field in the oral cavity. The useable working field can provide increased accessibility to and/or visibility within the oral cavity. Also provided herein are methods for using the device and kits.

The invention relates to a dental device for automatically filling a mouthwash vessel (2), comprising a supply device (7), a holding fixture (3) for the mouthwash vessel (2), said fixture being rotationally mounted about an essentially horizontal axis (4), and a sensor element (12) for detecting a rotating position of the holding fixture (3) or a rotational movement in relation to the axis (4). When a predefined value of the rotating position or the rotating torque is attained, the flow stops flowing through the supply device. At least two different positions (A, B) for said mouthwash vessel (5) can be adjusted and/or marked on the holding fixture (3), said two positions (A, B) being different in their distances to the axis (4).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple suction tray with a hood for work outside the dental cavity, the suction tray that can be hung on the top face of a table, that can attain compactification and low cost of the device, and that can suck a used liquid during work outside an oral cavity using the liquid other than suction of solid matters and gas containing offensive odor during work.SOLUTION: A suction tray includes: a tray body 18 in which a part of a bottom plate 16 is a base placing part 17 with a flat underside; a communication pipe 19 which is attached to a part excluding the base placing part 17 of the bottom plate 16 and which communicates the tray body 18 with the suction hose 14 of a dental suction apparatus; and a dispersion prevention hood 21 which is erected on the upper edge of the peripheral side plate 20 of the tray body 18 and which prevents dispersion of dispersing substance generated during work outside an oral cavity. As a result, the simple suction tray 10 with the hood can be used in a stable posture in which the tray is placed, with the base placing part 17 hooked on the top face of a table. Compactification and low cost of the device can be attained. Suction of used liquid is also possible other than the suction of solid matters and gas generated during the work.

40 CLEANSING OF SUCTION LINE OF DENTAL CARE UNIT EP07848166.0 2007-11-22 EP2086456B1 2018-04-18 SALONEN, Tommi
The present invention relates to cleansing of a suction line (1) of a dental care apparatus or of a suction line implemented as physically separately from a dental care apparatus, which suction line (1) includes means for producing a negative pressure and at least one suction hose (2). For the invention it is significant that in the suction line (1) a means has been arranged for enabling flow of the cleansing agent past a desired point and/or a means for enabling filling the line up to a desired point. The invention enables feeding cleansing agent to the suction line (1) in liquid form such that at least a part of the suction line (1) becomes filled with cleansing agent, which may be left standing in the suction line (1) or in a part of it for a desired time.
