72 Adjustable fixator for scanning dental casts US14965812 2015-12-10 US09427292B1 2016-08-30 Hanan Nejer Sahil Alotaibi; Waled Mohammed Alshhrani
The adjustable fixator for scanning dental casts includes upper and lower plates which are adapted for releasably securing a dental cast to be optically scanned therebetween. The upper and lower plates are selectively vertically adjustable with respect to one another, and a bottom surface of the lower plate is adapted for releasable mounting in an optical scanner. The upper plate is secured to a cylindrical shell which slidably receives a vertical support mounted to the lower plate, allowing the user to slidably adjust the height of the upper plate with respect to the lower plate. An engaging member mounted to the cylindrical support slides within a vertically extending slot formed through the cylindrical shell. The vertical position of the upper plate may be locked by sliding the engaging member into a selected one of a plurality of horizontally extending slots also formed through the cylindrical shell.

An orthodontic model has a single block body made of catalyzing acrylic resin with a pair of prism boxes inversely positioned and interconnected by a pair of posterior walls with a window, the prism boxes have covers of the same shape and are provided with perimetral depressions for fitting to the boxes and to reach a welding of edges of each dental arch or the model, and a method of its production is proposed.
76 Verifying apparatus for accuracy of dental cast mounting US10601045 2003-06-20 US20040259050A1 2004-12-23 Michael J. Racich; Daniel Friedman
Apparatus for verifying the interrelationship of upper and lower dental casts of a patient's teeth using a group of interocclusal records. The apparatus comprises a mounting surface with a clamping system to hold one of the upper and lower dental casts in an anchored position in order to receive the other of the dental casts in a supported position with an interocclusal record of the group insertable between the upper and lower dental casts. An indexing system is associated with the mounting surface for marking the dental cast in the supported position with index marks for the dental record. Alternatively, the supported dental cast may be mounted to a second, upper mounting surface and the upper mounting surface is marked with the index marks. The interrelationship of the dental casts is considered accurate if a second interocclusal record of the group results in the same at least three index marks being made to the dental cast in the supported position. The apparatus is inexpensive and configurable into a compact form for ease of storage. The apparatus can be use before or after mounting of the dental casts to an articulator.

79 Dental articulator and method US331937 1994-10-31 US5531595A 1996-07-02 Ioannis Koutavas
A method of determining the position of an upper jaw cast and a lower jaw cast using a dental articulator provides a disposable plastic holder in the lower jaw cast and mounts it in a metal bracket bar fitted to the base of the articulator whose telescoping post allows adjustment of the height of the head above the base. A bracket bar mounted on the head and spring biased so that this bracket bar can move in a plane and can pivot about a horizontal axis receives another plastic disposable holder which can fit into a cavity in the upper casting. Once the castings are properly positioned, a hardenable composition can be cast into the recess to embed the holder in the upper casting.
80 Dental articulator mounting for dental casts US146414 1988-01-21 US4946388A 1990-08-07 Wayne A. Bolton
A dental articulator, having an interim used tripod, reproduces the relationships of the jaws and teeth of respective dental patients. Their upper or maxillary jaw and their lower or mandibular jaw dental casts are positionable in their neuromuscular resting position, or in their full teeth contacting centric occlusion position. Lower and upper trays, are formed like art portions of full display dental casts, and adjustably connected together in opposed disposition, by a U shaped rigid upright support. Dental plaster is used to position and to secure the lower dental cast in the lower tray, while also using, during this interim, a tripod especially preadjusted to the cant of the occlusal plane of a patient's teeth, as determined and recorded from an observance of a patient's lateral cephalometric head X-ray film.
