The invention also relates to a method for operating an electric delivery pump, the windings of a motor of the electric delivery pump being subjected to an alternating current in such a manner that torque is generated on the motor. The alternating current is superimposed with a high frequency proportion of electricity in order to generate heat which is distributed by the windings.
