121 Insulating tunnel liner system US197937 1994-02-17 US5470178A 1995-11-28 Raymond L. Weholt
An insulating liner system especially adapted to railroad and highway tunnels to eliminate ice buildup on the tunnel crown, walls and roadbed caused by water leakage from the tunnel face. The insulating liner system includes a modular assembly of insulating panels, each comprised of a sheet metal or plastic face adherred to a preformed insulating foam core which is then waterproofed by coating all exposed faces of said core with an elastomeric or similar waterproof film. The ability of both the foam core and the elastomeric coating to stretch allows the panels to be fabricated and shipped in a flat configuration and formed to the tunnel arch during installation. The system also includes an insulating base with enclosed water drainage system, means of joining individual panels with waterproof joints, methods of supporting the liner system to the tunnel walls and a means of equalizing piston-effect pressures on the front and back faces of the liner system.
122 Method and an apparatus for producing a draining channel US597918 1975-07-21 US3990249A 1976-11-09 Georg Senn
A strip of snow is applied to a support surface which is to be drained, and covered with a quick-setting concrete. When the snow melts after setting of the quick-setting concrete, the space between the support structure and the set concrete which was previously taken by the snow serves as a draining channel. The apparatus for producing the channel includes a snow-making machine, a spray nozzle for the snow, and a spray nozzle for the quick-setting concrete.

124 A METHOD FOR CONSTRUCTING A TUNNEL COURSE, AND STRUCTURAL ELEMENT FOR USE BY THE METHOD EP12737622.6 2012-06-21 EP2723987A2 2014-04-30 DALEGÅRDEN, Torbjørn
A method and a structural element for the construction of a directionally flexible and watertight tunnel lining (1) or tunnel course (1), the method using pre-fabricated elements of concrete or sandwich structure (3, 4, 5; 73;73'). Interspace between such elements and extending transversely of the direction of the tunnel course or tunnel lining receives an interspace cast (14) using an outer flexible formwork (2) in the form of skirts (2', 2'') attached to the outside of the elements (3, 4, 5; 73, 73'), and which through interconnection (11) thereof form a flexible, "bag-like" formwork (2) on the outside of the elements (3, 4, 5;73, 73'). Together with conventional formwork (12) on the inside of the elements (3, 4, 5;73, 73') there is formed a defined cavity (13) which can be filled with injectable mass of concrete. After the concrete has hardened it will provide support to the installed elements (3,4, 5; 73, 73') as well as providing support relative to exposed surface portion of rock surface (10). The elements (3, 4, 5; 73, 73') can be provided on the outside with a membrane (17). Further, the elements can be provided with injection paths (16) in order to at any time establish a completely watertight tunnel lining (1).

  • une première couche drainante (1), destinée à recueillir les eaux arrivant à travers la voûte du tunnel, et les acheminer jusqu'à la base du piédroit, au niveau duquel elles sont collectées et évacuées (6), ladite couche venant donc s'appliquer au contact de la paroi interne du tunnel ;
  • une couche intermédiaire (2) d'isolation thermique, destinée à assurer une protection contre le gel des eaux circulant dans la couche drainante (6) ;
