The present invention relates to a device for the passive reduction of the sound vibrations in a liquid resulting from a sound source arranged below the liquid level of a body of water, the device comprising an elongate tube which can be arranged over the sound source, the tube comprising an outer wall and inner wall, wherein the tube is designed to maintain a certain desired pressure in the intermediate space between the inner and outer wall. In this case, the pressure is reduced with respect to the ambient pressure. As a result of the reduced pressure, the sound vibrations will less readily travel to the outside and the noise level in the area around the tube is reduced.

CONSTITUTION: A vibrator 1 which oscillates ultrasonic vibrations and receives reflected waves is horizontally rotated against a wall surface while the vibrator performs the oscillation and reception at every cut pitch and the position of the vibrator 1 is shifted one pitch by one pitch in the vertical direction whenever the vibrator 1 makes one rotation. A processor obtains the information regarding a distance and shape from a difference in propagating time of the ultrasonic vibrations by synthesizing transmitted and received waves of the vibrator 1 and position signals in the horizontal rotating and depth directions of the vibrator 1 and qualitative information of a reflecting material based on the kind of the waveform of the received waves. Since the position, shape, and qualitative information of a wall surface in mud water which can not be visually confirmed can be confirmed as the video of a three-dimensional surface, a large amount of accurate information required for discriminating construction and safety can be provided for construction management. PURPOSE:To reduce the production of a noise at a time when a pile is driven, by driving the pile under a condition that a steel pipe pile is filled with fluid. CONSTITUTION:A steel pipe pile 2 is set in a given position, and the pile 2 is filled from the upper part with fluid 3. The upper part of the pile 2 is then struck with a hammer 11 of a pile driving device 1. Water, sand, and earth and sand are used as the fluid 3. A bottom plate 4 has elasticity, and it mates the pile 2 to prevent the fluid, especially, water from badly leaking into a ground. Even if the pile 2 is struck, since the pile 2 is filled with the fluid 3, the pile 2 is increased in the vibration loss of the pile 2, and forms a vibrating system having a less sound, which results in enabling the reduction in a noise produced by the pile 2.
