PURPOSE: To stably embroider a bead embroidery having a excellent quality by using a bead continuum enabling the automation of the bead embroidery. CONSTITUTION: The continuum 1c of beads 6 is formed by laminating films 2, 3 having different thermal shrinkage rates, respectively, in a prescribed direction, thermally treating the formed laminated film to form a curled cylinder, and then forming notches 4 in the cylinder at a prescribed distance. |

PURPOSE:To make incineration treatment easy, to make reverse cleaning with acid or alkali effective and to prevent a fiber from releasing by specifying density and length of a melt-fused structure forming a nucleus of a ball-like structural body and pulling-out tenacity of a single fiber of crimped fibers connected with this. CONSTITUTION:In a ball-like structural body A, bundle-like crimped fibers are roundly formed by forming its approximately central part as a nucleus and the nucleus is formed by a molten fused structure C. Here, the density of the melt-fused structure C is at least 75% to the density of the crimped fiber forming the ball-like structural body A and the length is 5-50% to the diameter of the ball-like structural body A. In addition, the pulling-out tenacity of a single filament of the crimped fibers connected with the melt-fused structure C is at least 50% to the linear tenacity of the single filament itself of the crimped fibers used for the ball-like structural body A. It is possible thereby to make incineration treatment easy, to perform effectively reverse cleaning with acid or alkali and to decrease release of fibers. |

PURPOSE:To form artificial flowers in which distortion of loops is not released because of the external action and the elapsed time, by providing a string between a couple of superposed strips and fixing the loop formed by the relative transfer of a couple of jointed parts at the both edges of the respective couples between adjacent two couples of notches, to one side. CONSTITUTION:A ribbon 10 for forming artificial flowers is provided with a couple of strips 12 superposed with each other and a couple of strings 14 stretched along the place between both strips 12. The both strips 12 are tied 18 with each other at the both sides of the both strings 14 which are tied 20 at one end of the both strips 12 at their respective one end. A plurality of couples of notches 24 are provided at both side edges of both strips 12. When both strings 14 are transferred relatively against the both strips 12, respective couples of strip parts 26, 28 swell to the side where the respective tied points 18 locate to be deformed to a couple of loops 30, or 32. In the artificial flowers made in this way, the distortion of the loop is not stretched due to contact with other substances, vibration, elapsed time, etc. |

PURPOSE: To simply manufacture a semifinished material capable of simply making a flower-like rosette from various materials by attaching a drawstring to a band of a flexible material in a specific state and forming at least one longitudinal edge of the band into a non-linear contour.
CONSTITUTION: A drawstring 14 is attached to the vicinity of a straight longitudinal edge 39 of a band 1 of a flexible material such as fiber woven fabric, a synthetic resin sheet or paper so as to expose the drawstring to the top and the bottom sides of the band 1 alternately. Spacings 30 of exposure interval are determined so that the spacings have a length to make a desired fold and pleat size. A second longitudinal edge is formed into a non-linear contour 31 and the width of the band, the size of curve of the non-linear contour 31 and the depth of the arc stand are set according to the desired form of the flower- like rosette to be produced.

PURPOSE: To move a decorative article from a non-formation position to a formation position, provide a first operation portion for forming the decorative article and a second operation portion for simultaneously forming a decorative article and a carrying handle, and assemble a bag for receiving a gift with a self-forming bow well as a carrying handle. CONSTITUTION: In using, a carrying handle portion is pulled to cause relative movement between the carrying handle and a front wall. While a fixed end 60 is fixed and not moved, a tip 44 is movable to move toward the front wall. At the time of movement, an operation portion 52 slides along inclined clips 46, 48 to bend the both ends of each bow portion in a face-to-face relation, whereby individual loops are formed. The loops are rotated around an axis in the length direction of a bowed ribbon to form a circular arrangement constituting the bow. The operation portion 52 also passes through first and second holes 56, 58, and its length is added to a handle portion 53 to form a carrying handle 12. Finally, the carrying handle 12 has a shape and a size corresponding to those of a carrying handle 34. |

A decorative material holder formed from a single piece structure having a series of equally spaced apart cavities formed by a series of upper and lower U-shaped bends in a sinuous shape. The cavities allow for the support of ornamental items, as well as facilitate and ease the making of ribbon bows. The material holder has a proximal end and a distal end extending a distance beyond the lower U-shaped bends. The ends are used in securing the decorative holder to items such as a Christmas tree or decorative wreath, for placement over two spaced apart elements such as two Christmas tree branches, or attached between an outer and inner circular ring to form a wreath template. |

The present invention discloses a slit web material, substantially longer than it is wide, with specially shaped slits that permit relatively easy expansion upon deployment. The specially shaped slits are referred to in the Present Application as "tilde-slits," because they resemble a tilde mark. The cuts are arranged in continuous rows of tilde-slits. In any given row, the tilde-slits follow one-after-the-other in a linear direction. Adjacent rows of slits are parallel to each other, but are offset from one another such that a line drawn between adjacent tilde-slits in adjacent rows is not perpendicular to the direction of the rows. The invention contemplates that the material dispenses from a continuous roll. If the slits are arranged in the longitudinal direction, then the web material expands in the width direction only upon deployment. However, if the slits are arranged such that the row direction is at some angle to the longitudinal direction, then the web material expands in both directions upon deployment. In this case, a special dispenser is not required, and the material expands in both directions as it is pulled off the roll prior to cutting a desired length of material from the roll. |
