The object of the present invention is to provide a system capable of grasping visually and easily the information of the current status, the operational setting, and the production, out of the machine information of the textile machinery. The displaying system includes a computer machine for gathering and processing the operational data of each machine, a memory for storing and accumulating the data, and a screen for displaying the processed result of the data, as the main composition. By clicking the "operation" icon of the main menu page, the current status page is displayed. The current status page displays in numbers the actual efficiency (AEF %), the mechanical efficiency (SEF %), the number of doffing (NDOF) inside each cell corresponding to each machine comprised of winding unit, and according to the differences in the current status of the machine, the corresponding cell is displayed in different colors. Thus, the current status of the entire machine can be grasped at a glance. In the current status page, a jump button to jump to the operational setting page for displaying the present operational setting of each machine, is employed (Fig. 2).

In a textile machinery, a system and method capable of determining time points appropriate for exchange of consumable parts, respectively. A preset lifetime storage unit 31 stores preset lifetime values of the consumable parts as inputted through an input unit 32. So long as a jet loom is in operating state, a loom control computer C1 issues a signal commanding a time integrating operation to an operation time integrating circuit 33. The operation time integrating circuit 33 determines consumed lifetime of consumable part on the basis of a time lapse counted by a timer 34 so long as the time integrating command signal is issued by the loom control computer C1. An exchange decision circuit 35 compares the preset lifetime of the consumable part stored in the preset lifetime storage unit 31 with the consumed lifetime determined by the operation time integrating circuit 33. When the consumed lifetime of a given consumable part has reached the preset lifetime, the exchange decision circuit 35 outputs an activation signal to an alarm device 36 and at the same time outputs a display command signal to a display control circuit 37. Subsequently, the display control circuit 37 commands a display unit 38 to display the name of the consumable part of concern together with the preset lifetime and the consumed lifetime thereof.

An optimum loom control method for controlling a loom so that the overall profit of a weaving mill is maximized. A profit evaluation function defining a profit evaluation value includes variables including those affecting the profit of the weaving mill, such as information on the quality of fabric woven, the number of effective picks representing the quantity of fabric produced, and the energy consumption of the loom. A controlled factor or factors corresponding to a controllable variable or variables among those of the profit evaluation function, namely, the operaitng speed of the loom, the pressure of the picking fluid or both the operating speed of the loom and the pressure of the picking fulid, are controlled so that the profit evaluation value is increased to a maximum.
