PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To raise reliability of an air-operation type inserting apparatus in a weaving machine, especially an air nozzle type weaving machine, by informing the deficiency and time lag of a characteristic feature in passage and intensity of a controlled current related to the time of each solenoid valve by a signal and suspending a weaving process.
SOLUTION: The passage of control current of a solenoid valve 1 connected to a DC electric source (VDC) with time and its current magnitude are monitored by a peak value detector and the detected signal is conducted to a measuring circuit 4. When a characteristic feature is deficient during control in a weaving process or the time lag of the characteristic feature is detected to be out of a tolerance zone through a measuring circuit 4, a measured value detector 5 in a data memory 8 and a reference value detector 6 by a comparator 9, a signal for displaying the deficiency of the characteristic feature to a weaving machine control device and for judging the starting of the suspension of the weaving process is outputted.

PURPOSE:To enable an amount of critical wear to be detected highly reliably and the amount of critical wear to be changed freely without touching a rapier band itself. CONSTITUTION:A recessed groove 32 over a specified range in longer direction of rapier guides 3 and 8 is formed at one portion in width direction of a regulation surface 31 of the rapier guides 3 and 8 for a rapier band 2, a depth of this recessed groove 32 is set to an amount of critical wear alpha or more of the rapier band 2, and a sensor for the amount of critical wear is provided at the rapier guides 3 and 8. Also, a photoelectric sensor is provided at the rapier guide 8 in a layout where a light axis X of a detection light is transmitted through the rapier band 2 at a position which is equal to a sum beta of the amount of critical wear and an initial setting spacing according to the regulation surface 31 of the rapier guides 3 and 8 for the rapier band 2. |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject monitor working in such a way that conductors intended for guiding electric current to a pressure hose discontinue their activity when the pressure hose is broken, resulting in generating a signal by a loom control unit, and the signal acts so as to halt the loom, thereby preventing defective woven fabrics from being produced in large quantities.
SOLUTION: This monitor works. as follows: conductors 8a, 8a' mounted on a pressure hose 8 and intended for guiding electric current to the pressure hose 8 discontinue their activity when the pressure hose 8 is broken, resulting in generating a signal by a loom control unit 9, and the signal acts so as o halt the loom; wherein it is preferable that the conductors 8a and 8a' of each of the pressure hoses 8 on a weft-inserting device 1 are mutually connected in such a conductor loop shape as to guide electric current at a hose joint position 10 of the weft-inserting device 1 and also mutually connected in such a conductor release loop shape at one end of the pressure hose 8; one of the conductors 8a is used for introducing electric current, while the other 8a' is connected to the signal input terminal of the loom control unit 9.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven fiber cutter permitting large flexibility on the achievement of the cutting function and capable of being used under various mechanical conditions and various local conditions, and to provide a method for controlling and monitoring the cutting function of the fiber cutter for cutting off the selvages of a woven fabric.
SOLUTION: The cutting function of the motor-driven fiber cutter is monitored by monitoring the rotation of the motor shaft of the cutter-driving device. Therein, a device 3 such as a magnetic sensor and a device 4 such as a permanent magnet are used. The two devices 3, 4 are disposed in a scissor- driving device 10.

PURPOSE: To prevent the generation of a poor weft insertion caused from pressure drop by stopping injection of compressed air when a compressed air supplied from a compressed air supplier drops to a value smaller than a prescribed one.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure switch 10 in a compressed air supplier 5 detects pressure in a compressed air supplying path 11 from a compressor 9 to a jet loom 1 and when the pressure drops to a pressure smaller than a prescribed one, a use forbidden criterion circuit 14 outputs an operation stopping signal to a loom-control computer CO. The loom-control computer CO responds to an input of the operation stopping signal and stops a loom driving motor 2, demagnetizes an electromagnetic switch valve 4 and stops air injection from a main nozzle for weft insertion and an auxiliary nozzle for weft insertion.

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tuck-in device working in such a manner that a tuck-in operation is set out of actuation in an accident caused by a loom halt such as a weft stop to facilitate pulling a defective weft off a woven fabric. <P>SOLUTION: The tuck-in device(2) for a shuttleless loom having such a mechanism that the end(37) of a picked weft(16) is pulled by a 1st air flow(30) and held and a 2nd air flow(32) is then jetted to fold the weft end(37) back into the opening(34) between warps(33), works as follows: based on a command from the loom(1), according to a cause of a halt of the loom(1), the jetting of the 2nd air flow(32) is set out of actuation, or the 1st air flow(30) is jetted at least during jetting the 2nd air flow(32), thereby setting a tuck-in operation out of actuation without folding the weft end(37) back into the opening(34) between the warps(33). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the surface layer release of a rapier band and the abrasion of a power bearing hole by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A pair of position controlling rollers 17 and 18 are rotatably supported on a supporting plate 16. The position controlling rollers 17 and 18 regulate a rapier band 12 by the peripheral face of a rapier wheel 13. The supporting plate 16 is provided with a pair of limit switches 19 corresponding to a winding range E. A detecting roller 192 is brought close to the rapier band 12. The detecting range of the limit switches 19 is made to approach the traveling route of the rapier band 12 in the winding range E. |
