A method of manufacturing is provided, with an initial step of providing an automated braiding machine having a braid ring assembly and a plurality of spools associated with the braid ring assembly, each of the plurality of spools containing a strand of braiding material. When initially braiding the article of footwear, the spools on the braid ring assembly are in a first set of positions. Continuing, the article of footwear is braided beginning with a first end of the article of footwear with the spools on the braid ring assembly in the first set of positions. Upon reaching a transition point of the article of footwear, the spools on the braid ring assembly are positioned in a second set of positions. Finally, the article of footwear is braided from the transition point to the second end, with the spools on the braid ring assembly in the second set of positions. |

An open box-like woven fabric includes two inner walls connected transversely between two outer walls, and a base wall connected to the outer and inner walls oppositely of a top opening formed between the outer and inner walls. Each outer wall has an outwardly extending side extension, and the base wall has an outwardly extending bottom extension. The open box-like woven fabric is formed from a novel flattened fabric preform. |

A wrappable textile sleeve for protecting an elongate member and method of construction thereof is provided. The sleeve includes a plurality of warp filaments and at least one weft filament woven with one another to form a woven wall. The woven wall has opposite sides extending lengthwise between opposite ends. The opposite sides are wrappable about a central longitudinal axis into overlapping relation with one another to bound the elongate member within a cavity of the sleeve. At least one warp and/or weft filament is provided as a bulky, fluffy multifilament, wherein the bulky, fluffy multifilament is woven to form at least one float extending over 2 or more weft and/or warp yarns, wherein the at least one float provides loops sufficient to readily fix themselves to hooks of a standard hook and loop fastener. |

A composite down-hole tool for use in oil and gas wells includes plurality of fibers which extend along at least a first fiber plane and a second fiber plane. The first fiber plane and the second fiber plane are arranged perpendicular. A matrix material substantially fills the area between and around the plurality of fibers. The down-hole tool is spherical or cylindrical and substantially all of the plurality of fibers extend substantially straight and uninterrupted between opposed sides of the spherical or cylindrical shape down-hole tool. |

A woven tubular fabric which is formed of a set of warp yarns extending longitudinally thereof and a filling yarn interwoven with the warp yarns and extending circularly around the tubular fabric. The filling yarn is heat shrinkable while the set of warp yarns is non-shrinkable so that the woven tubular fabric will shrink in a radial direction upon the application of heat, while the longitudinal dimension remains unchanged.
