102 TAPE FOR PRINTED LABEL PRODUCTION AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING TAPE EP05766210.8 2005-07-15 EP1873284B1 2011-04-13 TERASHIMA, Hideki
Use is made of at least two varieties of ultraviolet fluorescent yarns of different coloring obtained by spinning of a material loaded with a phosphor. Ultraviolet fluorescent yarns and infrared fluorescent yarns together with ordinary colorless yarns are warped and taken up on a beam or drum to thereby attain width-direction repeated disposing of ultraviolet fluorescent yarns in a specified color order. Subsequently, the ultraviolet fluorescent yarns and colorless yarns as the warp are woven by means of a wide loom. As a result, the ultraviolet fluorescent yarns and infrared fluorescent yarns are woven into a whole fabric in the specified color order in a parallel relationship. After the weaving, the wide woven fabric is heat cut at a tape width greater than the lateral-direction interval permitting discriminating of the color order of ultraviolet fluorescent yarns.

A high density woven label 10 includes a finer grade yarn spun from specially selected polyester fabrics. The yarn 20 has a thickness of less than 75 denier. The label 10 comprises differently colored yarn 20 that is woven together to form a graphic, logo or trademark. The woven label 10 is particularly useful as a clothing tag. The woven label 10 has a density of more than 80 picks per centimeter. A preferred method 100 of manufacturing is also provided which includes weaving the yarn at a slower than normal weaving rate.

The invention relates to a method for producing patterned textile labels during which a production machine, which is controlled by a pattern device (22), provides labels (E1 to EN) with a pattern (M), which is the same for all labels, and with pattern sections (T1 to TN) that are different from one another. In order to improve production, a virtual label (V) is created from N individual labels (E1 to EN), which are distributed over the width (B) and the length (L) of the virtual label (V) and which have N individual pattern sections (T1 to TN) that are different from one another, and the virtual label (V) is then divided into individual labels (E1 to EN).
109 Gewebtes ETIKETT MIT EINEM UNSICHTBAREN BARCODE EP00915091.3 2000-04-27 EP1183412B1 2003-10-01 KUONI, Christian
According to the invention the labels (22) are produced in a broad woven fabric (21) comprising ground warp yarn (4) and ground weft yarn (5) for a ground woven fabric (11), embroidery weft yarn (12) which forms a figure and code weft yarn (10) which forms a barcode, said yarn being distinguishable from the ground warp yarn only in a light outside the visible spectrum. In the broad woven fabric (21) several labels (22) are produced whose longitudinal sides (1) adjoin each other in the weft direction and remain unfolded and whose lateral sides (2) are adjacent to each other in the warp direction and can be folded. The embroidery weft yarn (12) and the code weft yarn (10) extend parallel to each other and at a distance from the longitudinal sides (1) so that the backs of the labels (22) are evenly covered and thus uniformly transparent. The broad woven fabric (21) is cut along the lateral sides (2) into strips (25) each consisting of transverse labels (22) which are situated one behind the other in the warp direction. The labels (22) are then separated into individual labels by cuts along their longitudinal sides (1), which produces soft cutting edges (16) in the ground woven fabric (11) which do not irritate the skin.

In the method proposed, a web (6) of fusible fabric is divided, during the course of its manufacture, into strips or tapes (4) by means of a thermal cutting device (36). In order to improve the cut edges of the tapes (4), a shaping device (54) is used to smooth down any protruding bulges and consolidate the cut edges.

116 Heat adhesive tapes for finishing the hems of garments or other articles EP80304375.1 1980-12-04 EP0053639B1 1985-11-13 Shimada, Yuko
A heat adhesive tape comprising a tape main body of heat-resistant woven or knitted fabric and a heat adhesive thread of thermoplastic resin provided at each side of the main body on one surface thereof. To form a finished hem on trousers, skirts or the like, the tape is placed on the main body of the hem portion and on a folded-back portion of the hem portion and then heat-pressed as by ironing. The heat adhesive thread is woven or knitted into the main body zigzag in a staggered or wavy form or in the form of a series of turns and is thereby made almost free of shrinkage longitudinally of the tape when heat-pressed. A thermoplastic resin thread meltable at a lower temperature than the adhesive thread and fastening the thread to the main body at its furrow portions melts before the adhesive thread during heat pressing so as not to permit the adhesive thread to exert a shrinkage force on the main body also widthwise thereof when the tape is heat-pressed.
