102 Motor overload-preventing device of vacuum cleaner JP2004254448 2004-09-01 JP2005081144A 2005-03-31 JEON KYONG-HUI
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor overload-preventing device for a vacuum cleaner which has a simple structure and can solve a problem that an opening/closing portion should be formed of another material such as rubber to secure sealing performance of an opening/closing member. SOLUTION: A motor overload-preventing device for a vacuum cleaner includes a damper body and an resilient member. The damper body has an opening/closing portion formed on one end, to selectively block a tapered aperture of a body frame of the vacuum cleaner, and the opening/closing portion is tapered to correspond in shape with the aperture. The elastic member resiliently suport the opening/closing portion toward a direction of closing the aperture. In the first preferable embodiment of this invention, the damper body is movably disposed to rotate so as to selectively open and close the aperture, and to this end, it is preferred that the damper body is connected by a hinge to the body frame. 103 Vacuum cleaner, its suction port and its rotary brush JP23407497 1997-08-29 JPH1170060A 1999-03-16 SUEKI KENZO; NISHINAKA AKIRA
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep the contact condition between a vacuum cleaner suction port and a carpet face constant, by equipping an air flow control valve on a partition wall between the suction port and the atmosphere to move the air flow control valve to control the negative pressure in a space between an inner wall room in the suction port and the carpet when the negative pressure is the space is too increased. SOLUTION: During operation of this vacuum cleaner, the face of a dust suction port 6 is considerably closed by a condition of contact with the floor face, for instance, when the staple length of a carpet is long, the negative pressure in an inner wall room 14 is elevated. When spring pressure of a valve pressing spring is controlled so that an angle opened by an air flow control valve 13 is changed corresponding to the negative pressure, the air rate coming in through the air intake port 17 of a suction port 4 changes corresponding to the degree of the negative pressure condition. Thus, the contact between the suction port 4 and the carpet is kept under a suitable constant condition. For instance, in a case of a carpet with long staple length, the closing degree of the dust suction port 6 is raised and thereby the air flow rate is made larger, resulting in a loose condition of the contact degree.

A handle (302) for a wand of a vacuum cleaning appliance includes a handgrip portion (310) and a conduit (312) for receiving an air flow. The handle includes an aperture (324) for admitting ambient air into the conduit. A first valve (324) occludes a first portion of the aperture, and a second valve (326) occludes a second portion of the aperture. A control mechanism (330) moves the first and second valves away from the aperture to admit ambient air into the conduit. The second valve is supported at least partially by the first valve to occlude the second portion of the aperture.

The vacuum cleaner (S) has a suction port (15) and a suction channel (14), where a capacitive humidity sensor (17) is arranged in the suction channel. The suction channel opens during detection of humidity in a secondary air opening that is spatially attached to the humidity sensor. Monitoring and/or cleaning agents in contact with the humidity sensor proceed during opening movement of the air opening. The air opening is obtained by opening a part of a suction channel wall (21). A locking position of the air opening is secured by magnets (36).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology that can easily switch between a vacuum function and a blower function of an electric vacuum cleaner by a simple configuration, and can effectively use the blower function even under various situations.SOLUTION: An air suction and blowing device includes a body 111, the inside of which is served as a main channel 101 for air, and the inside of an injection channel part 112 provided in the body 111 is served as a subchannel 102 for air. When a suction airflow is formed in the main channel 101, a power fan 114b in a suction chamber 115 rotates and an injection fan 114a rotates in conjunction therewith so that the blowing airflow is formed in the subchannel 102. By switching a channel switching part 116 of a valve member provided in the joining position between the main channel 101 and the subchannel 102, the formation of the blowing airflow or a suction airflow can be easily switched. In addition, a rotation adjustment hole 111f opens when blowing air, thus preventing excessive rotation of the power fan 114b.
