A portable sink includes a container for holding wash water, an inlet line to bring fresh water into the container, and an outlet line to remove wastewater from the container. A float valve on the inlet line maintains wash water at a selected level within the container. A faucet attached to the float valve may further provide a separate source of clean water to the user. The outlet line further includes a siphon to draw the wastewater from the container to a selected discharge location. The inlet and outlet lines may form an assembly with an inverted U shape so that the device may straddle the wall of a bucket so that no piping penetrations are made through the wall. The siphon preferably includes an airlock to prevent the ingress of air at the discharge end under conditions of less than maximum flow. |

A wheeled cart is configured to removably carry a patient's personal wash basin. The cart includes a lid that covers the personal wash basin when the cart is moved from a bathroom to the patient so that liquid in the wash basin cannot splash out onto the floor if the cart strikes an obstruction. A flexible tube is provided for filling the basin from a sink. A drain pipe is provided to empty the wash basin without the need to lift the wash basin. A disposable thin personal wash basin having a funnel-shaped outlet may be used with the cart to minimize potential contamination. |

A portable and compact children's training sink is provided with a main housing having a basin, a drain hole disposed in the basin, and a back splash panel substantially adjacent to, behind, and projecting above the basin. Support legs support the main housing, including at least one front support leg and at least one rear support leg. The front and rear support legs are spaced apart to accommodate and placed over or outside of a household bathtub or shower stall. A reservoir is preferably removably disposed in the back splash panel, and a spigot is in fluid communication with the reservoir and extends over and empties into the basin. When the rear support leg is placed inside a bathtub or shower and the front support leg is placed outside the shower, fluid entering the basin by gravity from the reservoir and through the openable spigot exits via the drain hole and empties into the bathtub or shower or a waste water receptacle. |

A used water removal system for a stand-alone hand-wash sink station having a vertically elongated used water storage tank and within which a vertically elongated, fresh water tank is positioned. A sink basin disposed above the used water storage tank drains used water into the used water storage tank. A water line conveys water from the fresh water tank to a faucet located above the sink basin. An inverted, vertically elongated, U-shaped tube is arranged within the station alongside the fresh water tank. One end of the tube opens into the used water storage tank near its lower end. The second end of the tube opens to the outside of the station. The curved bight of the tube is located at a height that is above the maximum height of the used water within the used water storage tank. Water may be rapidly removed from the tank by temporarily applying suction to the second end of the tube to siphon used water through the tube and out of the used water storage tank. |

A central steel column serves as a core module for a portable washstand. The column extends upwardly from a horizontal foot, and has foot pumps which communicate with a water intake tube and with water spigots. In addition, the central column has fasteners, such as adjustable bands, for connecting fresh and waste water receptacles to the column. The receptacles may be conventional cylindrical drums, which support a molded plastic countertop with washbasins positioned beneath the spigots. For decorative purposes, a molded front panel extends between the countertop and the base, and together with a sheet rear panel encloses the two drums. Paper towel and soap dispensers may be connected to the central column. |

A movable washstand comprises a device for supplying water having a spray nozzle, a head rest, a catch basin, drain and bladder for temporarily holding discharge water and effluent and an electrical outlet, all mounted on a C-shaped frame with wheels that allow easy portability. A dual line extension hose having an inlet line, outlet line and quick connect capabilities allow the unit to be connected to a remote sink. An on-board extension cord allows the unit to be plugged into a remote electrical supply. The base of the cart slides under a bed and out the way while the catch basin is positioned under a patient's head. The height of the catch basin is adjustable to accommodate different bed configurations. The upper and lower members of the cart are hinged so that they fold over onto themselves transforming the unit into an extremely portable unit. A self-supporting movable wash pan is also disclosed that minimizes displacement of a patient. |
