| PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a potable gas generation device and an electric fuel cell power source equipped with it. SOLUTION: The potable gas generation device comprises a liquid reactant tank 6, and a reaction chamber 8 intended to contain a solid element, and generates gas by bringing a liquid reactant into contact with the solid element. The tank 6 and the reaction chamber 8 are separated in a sealed manner by a movable wall 4. The potable gas generation device is equipped with an outlet port 26 for collecting gas generated in the reaction chamber, and a means 14 for injecting the liquid reactant into the solid element.
