A hook/hanger for use at the top of a door is formed in two separate parts in the form of a plastics material moulding, having a flat rear surface and a central front hook-shaped part, and a sheet metal pressing which has a leg snap-fitting in a slot in the moulding extending inwards from its top surface, in which is provided a recess to receive flush a body part of the pressing which engages the top surface of the door, in use. The body part has barbs to be driven into said door top surface to retain the hook/hanger in place. The pressing has a very small thickness to allow the door to be fully closed even with the hook in place. |

A device for storing and displaying a model airplane. A vertical member adapted for easy attachment to a wall has an outwardly extending tongue at its lower end for retaining and supporting the model on its nose. A pair of wing retaining brackets are rotatably and pivotably mounted to a horizontal cross member adjustably mounted to the upright member. The wing retaining brackets are free to orient themselves to conform with the sweep of the leading edges of the model's wings and with the wings' dihedral and serve to immobilize the model and maintain its fuselage upright. Means for positioning the wing retaining brackets allow the device to accommodate models of varying size and configuration, and can be adjusted to allow the weight of the model to be supported by the fuselage alone, or by both the wings and the fuselage. In an alternative embodiment, the wing retaining brackets are mounted resiliently to the cross member, thereby allowing the weight of the model to be distributed equally, or in any other desired ratio, between the wings and the fuselage. |

A receptacle for plastic shopping bags and like articles comprising an upper member having the general structure and appearance of an upper portion of a doll body, whether a human figure or an animal figure, and a lower element structured and disposed for receiving articles therein. The lower element, which has the general shape and configuration of a skirt, is attached to the upper member and extends downwardly therefrom. The lower element defines a cavity in which plastic shopping bags can be stored, and also has an opening in communication with the cavity that is sized and configured to allow passage therethrough of a plastic shopping bag. The receptacle includes means for suspending the receptacle from a vertical surface, positioned on the upper member so as to substantially prevent the upper member from falling forward and thereby allow primarily a full display of both the upper member and lower element when suspended. The receptacle may also include means structured and disposed on the lower element for either partially or fully closing the opening. |

A container for used plastic bags which have a limited "memory" and tendency to return to their initial size and shape after being used. The container has a confined storage space and an access and dispensing opening which is smaller than the initial size and shape of the bags to be stored. The used bags are compressed when passed into the storage space through the smaller opening, and expand within the container to a size larger than the access and dispensing opening. A finger slot in one wall of the container facilitates dispensing of the bags from the container. |

There is described a holder for mounting along a horizontal support which enables a receptacle to be connected thereto. The holder comprises a rectangular member having outwardly projecting flanges along the lateral edges thereof, the first plate member hinged to the rectangular member and a second plate member hinged to the second plate member. Additionally, there is a base plate at the bottom of the rectangular member. The first plate member projects inwardly from the rectangular member while the base plate projects outwardly thereof. The second plate member can be attached to the rectangular plate such as by means of a plurality of elongated members, each having a plurality of engageable balls formed therealong. Slots are provided in the plate member to receive the strand and balls which can be adjustably mounted along the sleeve when mounting the holder on the horizontal support. Sliders are associated with the receptacle to be engaged by the flanges so as to connect the receptacle to the holder. The receptacle rests on the base plates when the sliders have been fully engaged by the flanges. This arrangement permits for example the mounting of a garbage holder outside the railing of an ordinary veranda. |

An item storage device with a plurality of open-topped storage pockets in a matrix of rows and columns is formed of a single sheet of material, preferably of woven fabric. The single sheet is lapped over in a series of horizontal fold lines, forming alternating three-ply areas and single-ply areas. An overlap opening at the top of each three-ply area or row forms the pockets of that row. Left and right ends of the folded sheet are folded on a vertical fold line to form a small hem which is stitched on a vertical line to form closed margins at left and right. Horizontal stitch lines are made to hold at least two of the three plies together along horizontal lines which define the bottoms of the pockets. Additional vertical stitch lines are made to define and separate the pockets laterally. In preferred embodiments a series of circular grommets are secured through a doubled-over fabric hem along the top edge of the carrying device, to enable suspending the device vertically. A series of calculators, for example, may be carried in the pockets, as for classroom use. |

The upright member has a plurality of vertically spaced bands along the lower portion thereof separated from the front of the upright member with generally transverse slots. A bracket having a downwardly turned flange extended through a slot is mounted on the band to provide a support for the bottom of a container. The bracket is selectively mounted on one of the bands to accommodate different size containers. The upper portion of the elongated member has an upwardly and outwardly directed lip forming a hook for receiving the grip or handle of the container. A reverse curved member is attached to the upper end of the elongated member opposite the lip for receiving the upper end of a pipe.
