6 Positioning & locking hanging system US09900602 2001-10-02 US06659418B2 2003-12-09 Robert Lemire
Picture frames and frame bases attached to pictures that are able to be mounted flush against a wall are described. Special recessed areas and frame connections make contact with one or more special wall brackets. The wall brackets are anchored into the wall and are connected to the frame in a number of ways. One of the ways is with the use of a screw that has a threaded bar moving on it. The screw goes through the top of the frame and is locked to the inside face of the frame so that it remains in place when the screw is turned. When the screw is turned the threaded bar moves into a recess in the wall bracket and pushes the picture up until the picture bottom hits a second wall bracket. This second bracket locks the picture onto the wall. The embodiments presented demonstrate various other means of locking the picture flush against the wall, as well as, means for leveling and adjusting the position of the picture.

8 Security mirror construction with readily replaceable mirror panels US263184 1994-06-21 US5452139A 1995-09-19 Gregory A. Schrott
A security mirror construction with a mirror panel which can only be replaced by one having generally authorized access to the mirror construction and where the mirror panel itself is generally isolated so that damage to the mirror panel by vandalism or otherwise is eliminated and where injury to a user in the event of a broken mirror panel can normally be avoided. The mirror construction is comprised of an outer housing having a base plate for supporting a mirror panel on the base plate and within the mirror housing. A bracket arrangement retains the mirror panel on the base plate and within a fixed position in the housing. A transparent cover panel, preferably formed of a shatter-proof material, such as plastic, extends over the mirror panel and is also held within the housing by another bracket arrangement. In this way, if a vandal attempts to damage the mirror construction, damage will normally occur to the exterior plastic panel. Moreover, if a vandal attempts to apply graffiti on the mirror construction, the graffiti will occur on the replaceable outer transparent panel and not the mirror panel itself.

11 Tamper-proof display assembly US642836 1984-08-21 US4583309A 1986-04-22 Michael N. Kane; Lawrence R. Hogan
A display assembly for posters or signs includes a cover frame having a clear sealed window at the front surface thereof. The display assembly is generally rectangular, the cover frame having four outwardly facing walls configured to slide into forwardly extending closely fitting walls extending from a one piece wall-mountable shroud-forming frame. Magnetic strips affixed to interior faces of the shroud-forming frame capture and hold an inserted cover frame, and the closely fitting shroud walls and immediately confronting cover frame walls serve to defeat the insertion of conventional tools to remove the cover when so emplaced. A special spatulate tool is configured with projections stressed to spring out of the plane of the blade in the relaxed state. The extensions are temporarily pressed flat during insertion, to spring outward when inserted to maximum depth into the assembly, the extensions when thus deployed confronting and engaging a rear portion of the cover frame. Withdrawal of the tool causes withdrawal of the cover frame for replacement of the contents.
12 Mirror frame US3668798D 1970-05-26 US3668798A 1972-06-13 MEHL DONALD N
A mirror frame includes a mounting member and a supporting frame. The supporting frame comprises a pair of channel-shaped members connected by links. The mounting member encloses the mirror and includes downwardly extending flanges engageable in said channel-shaped members. The mounting member is wider than the supporting frame. 20 Multi-purpose display frame with gravity lock US11037594 2005-01-18 US07360330B2 2008-04-22 Charles Abrams
A multi-purpose, front-loading display frame includes a front frame member having a pair of opposite first and second lateral side sections, a rear frame member having a pair of opposite first and second lateral side sections, at least one hinge for pivotally joining the first lateral side section of the front member to the first side section of the rear frame member to permit pivotal movement between an open position, in which the second side sections of the front and rear frame members may be pivoted apart from one another, and a closed position, in which the second side sections are disposed closely adjacent to one another. A lock is mounted on one of the second side sections of one of the front and rear frame members, and at least one latch plate is engageable with the lock. The latch plate is mounted on the other of the second side sections of the other of the front and rear frame members for cooperative engagement with the lock. One of the lock and the latch plate is fixed and the other is generally vertically reciprocable so that, when the front frame member and the rear frame members are in the closed position, one of the lock and latch plate is reciprocably moveable relative to the other for movement between a normally locked and a release position, respectively.
