166 Organizer US10268555 2002-10-10 US06983855B1 2006-01-10 Samuel J. Messinger
An organizer is formed from a flat sheet of substantially stiff, bendable and deformable corrugated box paper with pre-scored areas to fold and with easily removable perforated areas to custom accommodate the height, width and depth of objects to be placed on a shelf with exposed front portions thereof aligned with the front of the shelf. The perforated areas are preformed as slits or perforations in the flat sheet during a die-cutting operation. Selected sections of panels forming the organizer can be broken away, punched out, or otherwise removed to permit oversize objects, e.g. books, magazines, boxes, cans, articles of folded clothing, or the like to be properly positioned on a shelf or within a box. Use of the organizer enables books, magazines, boxes, cans, articles of folded clothing, and the like to be maintained in position on a shelf and to be positioned to the front of the shelf and in alignment with the front of the shelf for easy location and access by the user. An identically constructed organizer, when inserted in a storage box, either individually or in tandem, can be used to position objects within the box.

168 Business card display and dispenser US10753300 2004-01-08 US20050150899A1 2005-07-14 James Demido
A holder with a plurality of pockets for displaying and dispensing, in one location, a variety of business cards. Particularly suitable for businesses in which a number of professional people share a common lobby or waiting room, the holder, when filled with their respective business cards, offers clients or patients a convenient way to keep in touch. It also can be used to advertise professional and other services in shopping malls, restaurants, supermarkets and the like. The holder comprises a frame with a shoulder which defines a generally rectangular opening. Mounted within the opening are rows of shallow pockets, each pocket being defined by an elongated transparent front panel, a back panel, and except for the lowermost pocket, a spacer. The spacers not only separate the front and back panel and are affixed thereto, but also forms the bottom of the individual pockets. Separated from the back panel by a distance which is approximately equal to that between the front and back panels in each of the pockets above it, the front panel in the lowermost pocket is affixed along its lower edge to the shoulder itself instead of to a spacer. Spacing between rows of pockets is such that when business cards are placed in on end in the lower pockets the top of the card protrudes outwardly a short distance past the lower edge of the front panel in the next higher pocket, overlapping it a fraction of and inch and allowing the card to be removed easily.

The device is comprised of a single sheet of relatively thin pliable, resilient material, such as a sheet of vinyl, plastic, and the like, within and through said material are cut a plurality of slits, in sets of two or more slits or slit sets. The lower ends of slit sets are spaced apart by a distance which is less than the transverse dimension of an article to be supported or held, while the upper ends are spaced apart at a distance which is greater than the transverse dimension of said article to be supported or held. The lower ends and upper ends of slit sets are longitudinally spaced apart by a distance that is less than the longitudinal dimension of an article to be supported or held. The lower ends of a slit set are even on the horizontal axis while the upper ends of a slit set has at least one slit that is uneven, shorter or offset from at least one other slit on the horizontal axis. When an article is inserted into the space between slits in a slit set, the material deforms to form a compartment that captures or holds a portion of said article. Compartments are formed from a plurality of slits and/or slit sets and are open-topped/top-loading and are integrally formed with the sheet material. Compartments are capable of receiving at least one article and maintaining the article in an upright position, relatively parallel with the overall plane of the device with at least one part of the article visible for viewing. A slit sets size, shape and spacing is relatively proportional to the size, shape and/or dimensions of the articles thereby forming compatible compartments for the article. A portion of an article is within the compartment and a portion is exposed so as to permit a single article to be easily accessible and grasped by the fingers for easy placement and/or removal there from. The device is mountable to supports, such as a wall, door, and mirror or hung from racks etc.
