A plurality of packages of socks (S) is displayed on elongate hanger elements (15) by the present display board (10). A sock package retaining rail (20) is connected at opposite ends to opposite side portions of the display board (10) and the medial portion extends across and confines the sock packages (S) within the retaining rail (20). The sock package retaining rail (20) is wide enough to support an advertising card (45) thereon, is narrow enough that the upper and lower portions of the sock packages (S) are exposed to view by prospective purchasers, and confines the sock packages (S) and protects the same from being dislodged or accidentally removed from the hanger elements (15). The display board (10) is fabricated in such a manner that it may be economically shipped in a knock-down condition and can be quickly and easily assembled at the location where it is to be used.

27 Merchandise support assembly and hook suitable for use therewith US469519 1990-05-11 US5027945A 1991-07-02 Andre P. Wilkins
A merchandise support assembly, for example for socks comprises a blank 10 having first, second, third fourth and fifth portions 12, 14, 16, 18, 26 folded at crease lines 20, 22, 24, 28 between the portions. A second portion 14 is folded at the crease line 20 so that it overlies part of the first portion 12 to which it is secured by adhesive. Folding at crease lines 20, 22 forms a pocket between the second and fourth portions 14, 18 which are spaced part by the width of the third portion 16. A hook 40 comprises a hook member 42 and flexible resilient support arms 46 inserted through an opening 38 adjacent a fourth crease line 28 at the junction of the first and fifth portions 12, 26. The arms 46 engage the sheet material along crease line 28 to support the folded blank 10. The support assembly is simple to make and the hook can readily be assembled with the folded blank 10.

A display stand for hosiery has a plurality of leg-simulating forms adapted for the display of hosiery thereon. A shelf member of clear plastic is supported horizontally above a flat base member by a tubular support member. Holes through the shelf member are adapted to have the clad forms inserted toe-down therethrough and are of such a dimension that the upper end of the forms cannot pass through the holes. Flat, relief, or full forms may be used, the holes in the shelf member conforming to the shape of the forms.

A support for a form in the shape of a human body portion for displaying a garment has a clamp for embracing a portion of the form to hold it erect. The clamp has a downwardly projecting dovetail flange. A pedestal, secured to a flat base, has a complementary dovetail groove in its upper surface which is slanted at a large angle to the horizontal. The flange and groove are each similarly tapered from a wide upper end to a narrower lower end so that the clamp and pedestal can be locked together by sliding the flange into the groove.
