24 Method for manufacturing a device in which dish-shaped containers can be placed and a device in which dish-shaped containers can be placed US176478 1998-10-20 US5944200A 1999-08-31 Arnoldus Theodorus Bernardus Maria Nales
A device, and a method for making the device, for supporting and storing dish-shaped containers. The device has a column with side faces intersecting to form therebetween corners having specific angles. Vertical, non-releasing slits are formed in the side faces. Strips having pin-shaped projections extending therefrom slidably fit within the slits so that the projections extend away therefrom. Slits are also defined at the corners of the column. Strips having a centrally disposed longitudinal groove about which the strip is bent at the specific angle of each corner are inserted into the non-releasing slits disposed at the corners. All pin-shaped projections extending away from a given side face therefore extend in the same direction.

26 Storage rack for container lids US497425 1995-06-30 US5660284A 1997-08-26 Richard C. Vaughn
An improved storage rack for holding and storing cooking container lids and like-shaped objects is provided. The rack has a support frame which holds a number of container lids at an optimum storage angle when the rack is in a vertical or a horizontal orientation. The optimum storage angle is achieved by an assembly of bracket members, side rails and crosspieces which may be infinitely adjustably attached to the bracket members or side rails to form the rests and stops required to hold a number of different sizes of lids at the optimum storage angle. A single size, longitudinally adjustable crosspiece is provided to form the horizontal rests and stops required to support the lids at the optimum storage angle. The storage rack may be formed of a combination of materials and in sizes suitable for use in a home or commercial kitchen environment.
27 Multi-tier storage apparatus US383800 1995-02-06 US5495960A 1996-03-05 Peter W. Lam; Stacey H. Lam
A multi-tier storage apparatus employed in a sales environment for storing and displaying fragile merchandise subject to damage during earthquakes and other natural disasters. The invention includes a first container having a plurality of upright walls and a bottom surface each including a mesh construction which is utilized for storing and displaying merchandise. A horizontal projection extends into the first container from the upright walls. A plurality of second containers are mounted on the horizontal projection for storing and displaying merchandise. Each of the second containers includes a mesh construction and is movable relative to other of the second containers and to the first container along the horizontal projection for accessing the first container. In a preferred embodiment, a first or lower container is formed in a mesh construction and preferably in a rectangular shape. Formed along the upright walls of the two length dimensions of the lower container is a pair of horizontal projections or ledges. A pair of second or upper containers each having a mesh construction similar to the lower container and each having a plurality of wheels are mounted on the horizontal projections. Each of the upper containers is movable with respect to the other upper container and to the lower container for providing access to the lower container. Furthermore, the lower container includes a lockable hinged door for alternative access thereto.

Device for storing dish-type containers such as plates, dishes or serving trays containing a product, with a vertical column which has a base support at the bottom side, the column being triangular or rectangular in cross-section and provided at each side with supporting elements placed at equal intervals above one another. Each supporting element comprises two pin-shaped projections lying in line with each other in the horizontal direction, and a third pin-shaped projection which is longer than the other two projections and lies cenrally between the other two projections at a certain distance from the line connecting the other two projections to each other. The distance from the bottom projection to the connecting line between the two upper projections is adjustable. The base support for the column comprises a flat bottom plate provided with wheels, which plate is provided with one or more fixing elements for detachable accommodation of the column.
