The prong includes a shank and an enlarged head forming shoulders at a juncture therebetween, the slits having a length related to the dimensions of the holes, the shank, the head and the shoulders to permit insertion of the head of the prong through the holes and slits from the back of the pad such that the head of the prong exits at the front of the pad and the sheets of paper rest on the shank and are restrained at the front of the pad by the shoulders.
167 Shelf expander for supermarkets US132905 1987-12-14 US4828121A 1989-05-09 Reginald Willcocks, Jr.
A flat blank formed of transparent, synthetic plastic material which when erected creates an open bin that is readily secured to the front edge of a supermarket shelf to enlarge its capacity to store and display additional merchandise. The blank is constituted by a rectangular base panel whose opposing long sides are joined by living hinges to the corresponding sides of rear and front panels, the opposing ends of the rear panel being joined by living hinges to end panels. By folding up the front and rear panels and swinging in the end panels and latching them to the front and base panels, a three-dimensional bin is created whose rear panel can then be adhesively attached to holding clips received in the existing price channel at the front edge of the shelf.

A holder for a plurality of sheet items adapted for being selectively mounted in a multiplicity of modes such as in a channel at the edge of the shelf, on a flat backing board, on a rod, on a riser card having holes therein or on a hook. The holder comprises a flat sheet of flexible material including a pivotable flap which initially is in the plane of the sheet and is capable of being resiliently bent out of the plane of the sheet such that its lower edge can act in combination with the upper edge of the sheet of the material to engage flanges of a U-shaped channel at the edge of a shelf to hold the sheet of material in flexed condition in the channel. A bendable prong is formed in the sheet and is bendable to a position projecting from the sheet for supporting a plurality of sheet items in front of the plane of the sheet at a level below the channel for removal one by one. The sheet includes an adhesive strip for attaching the sheet to a flat backing board. The sheet further includes wings at its lateral edges which are bendable out of the plane of the sheet to enable the wings to be inserted into the holes in a riser card to hold the sheet against the front of the riser card with the wings engaging the back of the riser card in secured relation. The folded wings also are engageable on a rod of a basket or similar construction. The sheet is also provided with a mounting hole above the flap to enable the sheet to be mounted on a hook.
169 Strip merchandiser US596521 1984-04-04 US4546943A 1985-10-15 Jacob Fast

The unit is an integral flexible plastic strip and includes a mounting portion which joins an item-supporting portion at a transversely extending fold line. The upper edge of the mounting portion includes an anchor adapted to be resiliently inserted and interlock in a hole in a display shelf so as to engage the shelf for purposes of mounting. A through hole in the mounting portion permits the strip to be suspended from a hook. One side of the mounting portion may be adhesively coated for a further alternative manner of securing the strip to the shelf. The item-supporting portion has one or more finger-like hook members defined by inverted U-shaped die-cuts in the strip. The finger-like hook members are vertically aligned to support the apertured items for display.
