Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein selbstentfaltendes Tray, aufweisend einen Boden mit zwei daran angelenkten Seitenwänden, die in aufgerichteter Form senkrecht zum Boden und parallel zueinander angeordnet sind und mindestens eine Einstecklasche am Boden zur Befestigung im Display, sowie ein regalförmiges, selbst enthaltendes Display auf Basis der Trays. Im Tray ist ein Spannelement angeordnet, das dazu führt, dass sich das Tray leicht aus dem gefalteten, zusammengeklappten Zustand in einen aufgerichteten, aufgeklappten Zustand überführen lässt. Entsprechend ziehen die Trays, wenn sie im erfindungsgemäßen Tray eingebaut sind, das flach liegende Display beim Aufrichten in die gewünschte Form. Aufgrund der besonderen Form der Trays weist das Display dennoch eine hohe Stabilität auf.
