PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knit product selling system capable of supplying the knit products to a requesting person for purchasing the product and his family for wearing by producing one or plural knit products having different colors based on a picture for a design selected by the requesting person for purchasing the product. SOLUTION: This knit product selling system using an automatic knitting machine B, is constituted so as to obtain a knit product (a) of a product design 1 by recording the product design 1 prepared by a design producing device A previously to a recording medium 2, reading the recording medium 2 with a controlling part B' and knitting according to the controlling part B'. In this case, a design picture 3 such as a photograph, a picture or their copies is obtained from a requesting person for purchasing a product, the design picture 3 is then inputted into a design producing device A through an image taking in device C such as a scanner device to produce the product design 1 based on the design picture 3, which is recorded in a recording medium 2 for producing a knit product (a) expressed by the design picture 3. Also, one or plural knit products (a) having different colors, are produced and supplied to the requesting person for purchasing product (b) and his family for wearing. |

A knitted material having a multiplicity of upstanding hook-like engaging elements suitable for engagement and disengagement with a material having loop-like mating elements has a base knitted fabric (20) and upstanding monofilamentary members (44) interknitted into the base fabric, with a hook-like engaging member (46) extending transversely of each upstanding member (44) and configured in cross section to have at least one end generally arcuate in shape and the opposite end tapered for greater flexibility. In a method for producing the knitted material, monofilamentary pile loops (22) are interknitted with the base fabric 20 and their crests contacted with a heated member (38) with relative translational movement therebetween as by rotation of the needle cylinder so as to produce said monofilamentary members (44) with said particularly configured engaging elements (46). <IMAGE> |

A stitch-bonded type fabric produced in a stitch-through type machine comprises: (a) a flexible substrate in the form of two or more superimposed filling layers (2, 4) each consisting of one or more parallel continuous textile elements extending obliquely across the width of the fabric; and (b) a single system (5) of knitting thread wales extending along the length of the fabric, each wale comprising a multiplicity of looped stitch courses which secure the superimposed filling layers against relative displacement by loops on the rear surface of the fabric and by laps on the front surface. The method and apparatus involve delivering the filling layers obliquely between and in engagement with two parallel endless rows of advancing hooked leaded units by a corresponding number of comb-like carriages each adapted for synchronous reciprocating movement in a direction perpendicular to the leaded units. <IMAGE> |

A weft-knitting apparatus is provided with an axially nondisplaceable but rotatable loop-forming element having an upper end cut off at an oblique angle and formed with a spur. Each loop-forming element is periodically rotated 360 DEG so as to pick up a filament with its spur to pull it through a loop previously formed, thereby forming another loop that can thereafter slip up over another loop so formed by the spur. The support carrying a plurality of such rotatable elements may be exchanged for another such support having elements differently spaced in order to use the same knitting machine for different gauges or cuts. |
