PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To productively provide a colorant having excellent surface characteristics. SOLUTION: A colorant particle such as organic pigments is surface-treated by exposing it to a supercritical fluid with a surface-treating agent completely or partially dissolved therein. Not only the surface of the colorant but also the interior of the agglomerate pores can be penetrated by the surface-treating agent. The supercritical fluid used preferably, includes carbon dioxide and the like. As the surface-treating agent, a pigment dispersant may be used. |
