161 LIQUID COLLECTOR MOUNTABLE TO AN OBJECT FOR COLLECTING LIQUID FROM THE OBJECT EP13780934.9 2013-04-23 EP2840916A1 2015-03-04 Lepage, Daniel, A.
A sweat collector for wearing on a user's head to collect sweat from the user's head and prevent the collected sweat from running into the user's eyes. The sweat collector is at least partly made of nonabsorbent material. The sweat collector comprises a sweat-collecting recess between its inner and outer sides for collecting sweat. The sweat-collecting recess may be configured to retain the collected sweat by surface tension and adhesion. Other types of sweat collectors for collecting sweat from other body parts (e.g., a forearm) are considered. Other types of liquid collectors for collecting liquid other than sweat are considered (e.g., water on a user's head or other body part originating from a bath, pool or other external source; bottled liquid; etc.).
162 WRISTBAND AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR EP12805072.1 2012-06-05 EP2727484A1 2014-05-07 KOBAYASHI, Kazuyuki

Provided is a wristband having improved toughness, water resistance, and oil resistance or grease resistance while maintaining softness, and that may not be flexed or curved and have the indication information remain for certain even in a long-term use, so as to allow bar codes and other contents to be readable, as well as a method of manufacturing such a wristband. Focusing on an application of a laminated material including water resistant oil resistant materials and a flexible material to a surface base material that is most susceptible to an external factor out of materials that constitute a wristband, and an application of an interlining material disposed on a lower side of the surface base material and having one of tearing resistance and tensile resistance, there are provided: a surface base material configured by a laminated material having a first water resistant oil resistant material, a flexible material, and a second water resistant oil resistant material that are laminated; an interlining material laminated on the lower side of the surface base material and having one of tearing resistance and tensile resistance; and an embossed material laminated on a lower side of the interlining material and having an embossed portion for making contact with the portion-to-be-attached.

163 WEARABLE SENSOR DEVICE EP10708087.1 2010-02-05 EP2555676A1 2013-02-13 CADUFF, Andreas; KREBS, Hans-Joachim; STALDER, Gianlucca; TALARY, Mark, Stuart
A sensor device comprises a sensor (1) to be held against the wearer's skin. The sensor (1) is arranged on one side of a housing (2), and the housing is connected to a band (5) for mounting it to a body part, such as an arm or leg. Various stopper devices (10, 14, 20) are arranged on the side of the housing (2) and the band (5) that face the skin. The stopper devices improve static friction, thereby holding the housing (2) in place.
164 PROTECTIVE ARTICLE EP07797990.4 2007-06-01 EP2106221B1 2012-08-22 Gorsen, Robert M.

166 HEADBAND WITH TENSION INDICATOR EP05713482.7 2005-02-11 EP1718195B1 2010-12-29 HANNULA, Don; COAKLEY, Joseph; MANNHEIMER, Paul D.
A headband having a low stretch segment sized to fit around a wearer's head, and an elastic segment being smaller than the low stretch segment, and having a free end and an attached end, where the elastic segment is attached at its attached end with the low stretch segment. The headband also includes a tab portion having a first end and a second end, the first end of the tab portion being connected with the free end of the elastic portion, the second end of the tab portion configured to form a closed loop with the low stretch segment, around the wearer's head. The headband also includes visual indicator configured for monitoring the extended position of elastic segment and optionally a stop portion that is configured to engage against the elastic segment to limit its stretch. When having a stop portion, the tab portion also includes an indicator portion between its first end and the stop portion such that the indicator portion when visible indicates that the headband needs re-tightening; and when the indicator portion is not visible it indicates an adequate level of tension corresponding with delivering a pressure in the range higher than the venous pressure and lower than the capillary pressure to the forehead of the wearer.
167 Use of a headband to indicate tension and system comprising an oximetry sensor and a headband EP03773086.8 2003-10-01 EP1549165B1 2010-09-01 HANNULA, Don; COAKLEY, Joseph
A headband (102) with a tension indicator (110) having an elastic segment (102) sized to fit around a wearer's head; and a non-elastic segment (104) being smaller than and attached with the elastic segment (102). The non-elastic segment (104) is sized to span a portion of the elastic segment (102) when the elastic segment is stretched, and the non-elastic segment (104) is larger than the portion of the elastic segment (102) it spans when the elastic segment (102) is not stretched. The non-elastic segment (104) is attached with the elastic segment in such a manner that the non-elastic segment (104) projects out from the surface of the elastic portion when the headband is not sufficiently tight, thus creating a loop (110) which provides a visual indication that the headband needs re-tightening.

170 HALTERUNG FÜR EINE ATEMMASKE EP01960364.6 2001-06-22 EP1305070A1 2003-05-02 VÖGELE, Harald; MADAUS, Stefan
The invention relates to a holding device for a respiratory mask, especially for use in the field of sleep medicine. The inventive holding device is characterized by comprising a headband which, in an application position, extends from the forehead area of the patient to behind the ear area of the patient, whereby the headband is provided with a flexible reinforcing insert for reinforcing the headband in a lateral direction. This makes it advantageously possible to provide the mask retention forces, which are necessary for reliably applying a respiratory mask, in a manner that is very compatible with regard to ergonomics.
