Gasification of coals

CONSTITUTION: A pretreated coal is fed from the line 10 to the gasifier 1 to form a fluidized bed, into which materials such as coal and petroleum vacuum distillation residual oil (heavy oil) are introduced from the line 11 while being sprayed by the steam 21, and gasified in the thermal decomposition zone 2. Char formed as a by- product is fluidized and burned in the partial oxidation zone 3 by a gasifying agent which is supplied from the line 14 through the distribution plate 4 to the zone 3. Ash containing unburned carbon is fed to the ash furnace 5 by the particle discharge regulator 16 equipped on the particle discharge outlet pipe 19. and is gasified in the fluidized bed 6 in the furnace 5 with the height of the fluidized bed in the gasifier 1 adjusted. Steam is generated by the boilers 15 and 20 heated by the amount of heat due to the combustion with the gasifying agent from the line 17.
