专利汇可以提供Method for cleaning a gas专利检索,专利查询,专利分析的服务。并且A system for cleaning air polluted, for example, with metallic chlorides and hydrogen chloride gas. The air is heated to convert the metallic chlorides to metallic oxides and hydrogen chloride gas and then conveyed to a gas scrubber. Before entering the scrubber, fresh water is sprayed into the air to rapidly cool the air and the water reacts with the hydrogen chloride gas to form hydrochloric acid. The scrubber employs water to wash and scrub the air and remove the pollutants from the air.,下面是Method for cleaning a gas专利的具体信息内容。

  • 2. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the air is conveyed to the scrubbing apparatus through a heat insulated passageway so that the hydrogen chloride contaminant is maintained in its gaseous state.
  • 3. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein during said heating step, the air is heated to a temperature of at least 350*F.
  • 4. A method as defined in Claim 1, comprising passing the air leaving the second scrubbing stage through a demisting stage wherein liquid is removed from the air before it exits from the scrubbing apparatus.
  • 5. A method as defined in claim 1, comprising directing the air through openings in an orifice deflector plate which intersects the scroll type passageway, wherein the openings in the deflector plate create a venturi effect on the air as it passes therethrough and the plate deflects at least some of the contaminants from the air.
  • 6. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the air leaving the scroll type passageway passes vertically upwardly through the flow intersecting scrubber pad of the second scrubbing stage, and wherein a wetting liquid is sprayed continuously against the bottom of the scrubber pad.
  • 7. A method as defined in claim 6, comprising directing the air through openings in an orifice deflector plate which intersects the scroll type passageway, wherein the openings in the deflector plate create a venturi effect on the air as it passes therethrough and the plate deflects at least some of the contaminants from the air.
  • 8. A method as defined in claim 7, comprising maintaining the liquid bath at a preselected level.
  • 9. A method as defined in claim 1, comprising maintaining the liquid bath at a preselected level.
  • 10. A method as defined in claim 1, comprising adding a wetting agent to said liquid bath.
  • 11. A method as defined in claim 10, comprising adding a defoaming agent to said liquid bath.
  • 12. A method as defined in claim 1, wherein the air during the heating step is heated to at least 350*F, and said substance is anhydrous stannic chloride which, when so heated, is converted to stannic oxide particles and hydrogen chloride gas.
  • 13. A method of cleaning a moisturized contaminated exhaust gas derived from a glass coating station at which anhydrous stannic chloride in vapor or droplet form is deposited on glass articles and some of the vapor and droplets are carried off as contaminants in the exhaust gas, comprising heating the gas to a temperature sufficient to convert the stannic chloride to stannic oxide particles and hydrogen chloride gas, conveying the exhaust gas to a gas scrubbing station wherein a liquid is sprayed into the gas to rapidly cool the exhaust gas which is then passed into a gas scrubber apparatus for treatment and removal of the stannic oxide particles and hydrochloric acid which is formed as the hydrogen chloride gas is cooled by and reacted with the liquid.
  • 14. A method as defined in claim 13, wherein the exhaust gas is heated to a temperature of at least 350*F, and is conveyed to said scrubbing station through a heat insulated passageway so that the hydrogen chloride is maintained in its gaseous state as it passes through the passageway, and said spray liquid is fresh water which rapidly cools the exhaust gas to enhance separation of the contaminants from the gas as it passes through the scrubber apparatus.
  • 15. A method as defined in claim 13, comprising, in the scrubbing apparatus, passing the exhaust gas through a first scrubbing stage in which it is directed through an upper portion of a liquid bath and is vigorously mixed with liquid from the bath as it flows through a tortuous, scroll type passageway, at least some of the contaminants and liquids entrained in the exhaust gas being separated from the exhaust gas and falling into the bath as the exhaust gas leaves the scroll type passageway, then passing the exhaust gas through a second scrubbing stage formed by a scrubber pad which intersects the flow path of the exhaust gas, and continuously wetting the scrubber pad to enhance the separation of any remaining contaminants from the exhaust gas as it passes through the pad.
  • 16. A method as defined in claim 15, comprising passing the exhaust gas leaving the second scrubbing stage through a demisting stage wherein liquid is removed from the exhaust gas before it exits from the scrubbing apparatus.
  • 17. A method as defined in claim 15, comprising directing the exhaust gas through openings in an orifice deflector plate which intersects the scroll type passageway, wherein the openings in the deflector plate create a venturi effect on the exhaust gas as it passes therethrough and the plate deflects at least some of the contaminants from the exhaust gas.
  • 18. A method as defined in claim 15, wherein the exhaust gas leaving the scroll type passageway passes vertically upwardly through the flow intersecting scrubber pad of the second scrubbing stage, and wherein a wetting liquid is sprayed continuously against the bottom of the scrubber pad.
  • 19. A method as defined in claim 18, comprising directing the exhaust gas through openings in an orifice deflector plate which intersects the scroll type passageway, wherein the openings in the deflector plate create a venturi effect on the exhaust gas as it passes therethrough and the plate deflects at least some of the contaminants from exhaust exhasut gas.
  • 20. A method as defined in claim 19, comprising maintaining the liquid bath at a preselected level.
  • 21. A method as defined in claim 15, comprising maintaining the liquid bath at a preselected level.
  • 22. A method as defined in claim 15, comprising adding a wetting agent to said liquid bath.
  • 23. A method as defined in claim 22, comprising adding a defoaming agent to said liquid bath.
