(A): a mixed alkyl-etherified methylolmelamine having, on the average, less than 5 bonded formaldehyde units, 1.0W3.5 methyl ether groups, 0.5W3.0 butyl ether groups, 0.5W3.0 imino groups and less than 0.5 methylol groups, each per melamine nucleus, and having an average degree of polymn. of melamine nuclei of 1.5W3.3. (B): a copolymer resin of a vinyl monomer having at least one hydroxyl or carboxyl group with other vinyl monomer, an alkyd resin or a polyester resin or a mixture thereof.
