CONSTITUTION: Combustibles 36 deposited on a fire generating spot 35 in an exhaust duct 1 are fired to generate a fire 37 which heats a draft flowing in the duct 1 and flows down to make contact with the upper inner portion of the duct in a fire detecting spot 38 and operate a fire sensor 5. When the fire sensor 5 outputs a fire signal, a fire signal detecting circuit 704 on a discharge division control board 7 generates the output and OR circuits 711-714 generate the outputs. Switch valve controlling circuits 721-724 are operated and water dischargers 10-13 are interlocked therewith in a fire region 40 at the upstream side of said sensor 5 to open respective switch valves 20-23, operate also a pump driving circuit 741 and drive a pump 33. Water is discharged all at once from discharge nozzles 15-18 so that the whole fire region 40 at the upstream side undergoes water sprinkling and fire extinction.
