2 S in the condensate into the vapor phase. This stripped gas is then subjected to oxidation treatment to decompose the H
2 S. For example, turbine exhaust gas is separated into condensate and noncondensable gas by cooling with the condenser, and the condensate is fed to a stripper through a sealed water tank, allowed to countercurrently contact to a stripping gas, and drained. The stripped gas from the stripper is subjected to oxidation treatment together with the said noncondensable gas. Part of the oxidized gas is recycled as the stripping gas if necessary, and the remainder is released.
