CONSTITUTION: Double pipes 3 and 4 are driven into the ground to a portion more than 200W300m under the ground, and the large diameter upper portion 4' of the double pipe 4 is allowed to communicate with the upper portion of the small diameter portion 5 of the double pipe 3 in order to connect the double pipe 3 and 4 in series. The upper end portions of thus connected double pipes 3 and 4 are covered with a heat insulating material 14. Moreover, a pump 7 is connected to the large diameter upper portion 3' of the double pipe 3 in order to deliver the cold fluid such as water sucked by the pump 7 from an outlet 9 to an inlet 11 of a heat exchanger 10 placed in a chamber 1. The heat exchanger 10 makes the cold fluid exchange heat with the room air to cool. The water having exchanged heat is returned from the outlet 12 to the small diameter portion 6 of the double pipe 4.
