CONSTITUTION: Heat transfer exchanger tubes 102 are buried in a layer 107 of solid particles, discharge gas is supplied from the bottom of the layer through a dispersing plate 104 to fluidize the particles so as to heat fluid such as water or the like flowing through the tubes 102. Here, the layer 107 is formed in height of 300mm or less of the particles each having diameter of 0.3 to 2.0mm. The tubes 102 buried in the layer are vortexlike heat transfer tubes disposed in multiple stages, and the vortex direction of the adjacent upper and lower tubes in reverse to each other. A solid particle return tube 103 is disposed vertically through the central space of the vortex of the tubes of the multiple stages, and a rotary brush 115 is disposed at the lower side of the plate 104.
