CONSTITUTION: A blowpipe 1 for feeding air into the underground having terrestrial heat and a heat-insulating hot-blast pipe 2 for raising the air heated by the terrestrial heat are buried in a single shaft C, with the blowpipe 1 deeper than the pipe 2. The air fed into the underground through the blowpipe 1 by a blower B is heated by the ground heat, and the rising air is taken up by the pipe 2. The air thus taken up is used for driving a turbogenerator 3 installed near the upper portion of the pipe 2 (i.e., near the ground surface) so as to generate power, and also used for heating the water in a steam producing tank 4 of a heating chamber 8 to produce steam.
