CONSTITUTION: An inner body 11 of a burner 1 is lined with a refractory wall 13 made of ceramic or refractory member. Fuel fed from a fuel pipe 2 to the bottom of the inner body 11 is burnt through ignition by an ignitor 16. Vaporized fuel is mixed with air flowing from an air port 14 through an air passage 15 by means of a blower 7 and continues to burn being stabilized by means of a flame stabilizer 20. The refractory wall 13 is red heated by the combustion flame which accelerates vaporization of fuel and burns away components such as tar sticked to the wall and keeps the combustion temperature high. This can prevent generation of CO and soot in a wide range of combustion, thus ensuring to provide high load combustion
