CONSTITUTION: Output from the speed-control-amplifier 16 is provided through the analog switch 19 to the phase control circuit 10 in the power converter 4. The analog switch 19 is driven by differential current from the comparator 21 which compares both the output currents from the current transformer 18 and from the analog switch operation current setter 20, where the transformer 18 detects the current in the circuit and the setter 20 determines the operating current for the analog switch 19. In order to difine the minimum current passing through the circuit, the minimum current setter 22 is provided at the input terminal of the amplifier 15 that controls terminal current. As a result, if the speed-control-amplifier 16 generates a signal to reduce the circuit current to nearly zero, the circuit current will not fall below the specified value.
