CONSTITUTION: Polyester yarns, prepared by drawing undrawn yarns containing 0.30W1.50wt% silica, coated with alkyl groups, and having ≤100mμ average primary particle diameter and ≥30% blocked silanol groups on the particle surfaces, having ≤200 coarse particles/g undrawn yarns, and capable of exhibiting color developing improving index of 1.4 times or more of that of regular polyester fibers having the same fineness per fiber and total fineness on dissolving the surfaces of the drawn yarns [the color developing improving index is defined as follows: Color developing improving index=(L value of a circular knitted fabric without the alkali treatment)-(L value of the circular knitted fabric with 20% reduction in weight with the alkali)].
