6 gas. Because an oscillation wavelength of the laser 3 in this case is set to a 16μm band which is an absorption wavelength band of
235 UF
6 , only
235 U
6 is excited and, further, dissociated by ultraviolet rays to be separated from unexcited
238 UF
6 and, finally,
235 UF
6 is enriched.
