A series circuit consisting of a resistor 8 and the normally closed interrupter 9, a voltage coil 10 for energizing the interrupter depending on the output, and an output terminal 1 are connected in parallel with the output of the rectifying diode 6. The normally closed interrupter 9, which is opened by the no-load voltage to cumulatively operate the shunt-wound and the series-wound field coils when the generator starts, is coupled to the output of the rectifying diode 6. Therefore, sufficient electric power is produced in a short time without being affected by the ambient temperature.
