CONSTITUTION: During regenerative braking voltage of armature A2 in series generator circuit containing armature A2, fields F1, F2 and chopper CH is increased upon turning on of chopper CH, while when chopper CH turns off regenerating current is returned through freewheel diode FD1 to power source. Here field weadening resistor WFR1 is thrown in by means of contactor K2 to make field current in field coil F2 weaker than that in field coil F1, and to make voltage produced from armature A1 higher than that from armature A2 for same speed thus to exceed over regenerated source voltage
