CONSTITUTION: An electric insulating lead 1 being a test-piece consists of a lead 2, a line side bushing 3 and an insulating oil 4, and in case of executing an insulation test, a connecting and switching device 11 is switched by operating an operating box 17 in accordance with a kind of a test. In case of an AC voltage test, a movable contact 13d is connected to a terminal 13b, and connected through a bushing 15 to an AC voltage generator 7 which consists of a power source 6 and a testing transformer 5, and is packed with an insulating medium 8. Also, in case of a thunder impulse voltage test or a switching impulse voltage test, the movable contact 13d is connected to a terminal 13a, and connected to test voltage generators 9, 10. On the other hand, an abnormal voltage protecting element 18 is contained in a tank 12, connected to the bushing 15, and protects the whole testing device from an abnormal voltage generated by the AC test voltage generator 7.
