CONSTITUTION: A triac 6 is interposed between an output part of a microcomputer 4 and a motor 7 for a range hood. Usual variation in outdoor and room air temperatures is slow. Therefore, variation in conductivity characteristics of a detecting element 1 is small and a degree of said vatiation is processed by the microcomputer 4, where operation instructions are not sent to the triac 6, as a result, the motor 7 is not driven. Only when gas or electric heat sources are used in a kitchen etc., a range hood is operated automatically, thus enabling an operation control of high accuracy. In such a manner as described above, a simple control circuit can be formed, by using a detecting circuit having a detecting element, conductivity characteristics of which vary in response to heat, and a microcomputer; therefore, an inexpensive device which performs operation control of a range hood with high accuracy and without faulty operation can be provided.
