CONSTITUTION: The check bit data read out of a check bit store part 22 is inputted to a comparison part 12. The part 12 decides the value of the check bit data based on the output of a flip-flop 9 and supplies the output to one of both inputs of an AND gate 13. That is, the data and the check bit are written when the check bit allows the writing and no writing is carried out when the writing is inhibited respectively. Therefore a check bit showing the inhibition of writing is written into a memory together with the data when the data not to be erased is written into the memory. Thus the overlap writing the relevant storage area is prevented. As a result, the storage is surely protected against the unexpected system runaway, the so-called computer viruses, etc.
