When this sign bit is set to 0, a main storage device 2 is accessed through an output register 14. On the other hand, when the set boundary value of the register MEM is inverted through the ROM12, the sign bit is also inverted to access even a program in an area of the device wherein fault disgnostic information on a hidden address of program access is stored.
