CONSTITUTION: A propeller-shaft hub 14 is formed into a stepped shaft shape, and the stepped part 17 serves as a cam 18. On the other hand, a cam follower 22 which is meshed with the cam 18 is formed on a propeller boss 12, which is fitted on the small shaft part 19 of the propeller-shaft hub 14 rotatably in the circumferential direction, while being clamped by means of a nut 16 via a spring 15. The propeller-shafts hub 14 is fitted on a propeller shaft 13 and fixed to the shaft 13 in the rotating direction by means of a spline 21. In some turning force due to an impact force, the mesh between the cam 18 and the cam follower 22 may be released causing a slip between them but, after that, the mesh is again restored enabling navigation to be continued.
